Wow, the last half hour was like the final 3 minutes of an NBA game.
And yes, that was ridiculous. Demand a fitter ref to get to the ball faster (and not spot it twice)!
Also, that and the earlier delay of game against the Cowboys weren’t at all consistent with how that infraction has been ruled in recent games. Plenty of times the play clock hits zero and the offense is allowed to snap it even up to a second after that happens. Maybe not how it’s stated in the rules, but just asking for consistency…
You just can’t call that play right there. Too high risk.
Both teams know the umpire has to set the football, you are essentially gambling that it’ll work.
Looked to me like he was trying to get in there, but moving a bunch of lineman is probably a bit much to ask.

“Guys! I’ve just been asked back for a second job interview next weekend!”
Yup. The three previous plays were great. That was a massive risk, especially without reminding everyone they have to get the ball to the official

That was a heartbreaking finish.
I know what they were trying to do there, and it’s a super high risk play, but it can work. But it’s super high risk EVEN if Dak takes a slide 10 yards downfield because of all the moving parts and needing to get the umpire to reset the ball and getting your team lined up. Prescott went about 18-20 yards, and the 2 seconds they lost on that were the ballgame.
Best game of the weekend to watch. And as a WFT booster, I’m glad Dallas lost in the end.
Are the Niners really looking to move Jimmy G? Doesn’t make sense to me.

They gave up too much not to start Trey Lance next year, unless Jimmy G takes them farther. I mean, they could keep him another year, but next year is the final year of his deal so at that point he’d be a free agent without much compensation if you kept him through next season. So trading him after this year is the best move.

Yep, and he’d free up plenty of cap space to spend on extensions and FA signings during the off-season.
Ideally he plays well next week against GB and we can squeeze a 1st rounder out of a desperate team.
Note: I’m definitely not a Jimmy hater. He seems to be a fantastic leader, and while he has his limitations, I was 100% in favour of him starting ahead of Trey Lance this season given we were always going to be playoff contender. But with one season left on his contract, unless he catches fire and take us to a SB victory, it makes sense to move on.
We went 4-0 on picks ATS this weekend, but my own personal pick for this game is that the Chiefs win…but don’t cover the 13 they were giving on Friday.
What’s with all the loud volume of Pittsburg support at Arrowhead? How did they get so many fans to Kansas City? Or maybe how did they find out where the microphones are around the stadium?
If Arrowhead isn’t 90-95 percent Chiefs fans, I’ll be stunned. I haven’t heard any groundswell of Steeler support there yet.
The sheer fact that KC is struggling isn’t good news for them considering the Bills turned in a never-happened-before perfect offensive game against a Top 5 defense in the league yesterday.

For all my hate of the 49ers it is worth seeing them win if they beat Dallas. :)
Hard to believe this Steelers defense is the same team as the offense.
Kansas City looks like a shell of last year’s Super Bowl team. Their window closed fast.
It is the perfect match with tangy, slightly hot bbq sauce.
Pairing it with burnt ends is something friends and I discovered by accident last month, and it is absolutely the food and drink of the gods. Seriously, if I’m ever allowed to pick my final meal…
I think this year’s Chiefs team is better than last season’s, especially since they sorted out their issues on defense in midseason. No idea what exactly they did, but they’re a different team now than they were in the first 8 weeks of the season.
They’re just playing a tough defensive team for the second time in a month. But they’re going to win pretty easily.
