I know this. My comment is in reference to Sarkus’ defense of Rodgers. Sarkus is the “he” I am referring to. Perhaps my misplaced comma confused you? Anyway I fixed it for clarification.

Sorry, I was adding on to your comments, not disagreeing with you.

Rodgers wasn’t treated like an unvaccinated player, though. He was on the sidelines in the preseason without a mask. He did press conferences during the season without a mask. He acted like he was vaccinated and nobody called him on it on the Packers or the NFL, who both presumably knew what treatment he had done. There is a long list of things he did that weren’t supposed to be done by un-vaccinated players but were ok for vaccinated players. The $14k fine he got wasn’t for any of that.

If most of you feel like that was all an NFL cover-up of the truth because they decided to look the other way then I’m not going to convince you. I’m just saying that I think it could be something else, namely an actual medical condition.

Like, he literally was fined for that. But as the NFL stated, the major fines of 300,000$ was for the Packers for not requiring their unvaccinated players to follow protocols.

I don’t know what you are trying to say here? He isn’t bad because the Packers and NFL are also bad about enforcing their rules? What cover-up? He was publicly called out and fined!

You are making some argument that he is OK because the league didn’t do anything specifically beyond what their agreement with the NFLPA allows? I would say that the entire league barely cares about covid anyway. Is that good?

Dude fucking sucks and is a lying piece of shit. That is the end of it.

This from the Packers fan! Wait until you hear what the Bears fan has to say!

insert eardrum splitting rant that makes Gilbert Goddfried’s The Aristocrats joke seem like good family fare

Like the NFLPA exists to stop players from getting big fines and stuff. Saying that the NFL didn’t do enough to punish Rodgers means he didn’t do anything wrong is a bit of a stretch. I would expect they did as much as they could, per the union rules.

The NFL’s covid rules have always been shit. AB got suspended because he used a fake card to lie. Rodgers never lied to the NFL, they just got wishy washy over his non-vaccine “treatment” He was just smart about how he was lying. That doesn’t make him any less of a bad person.

The Bengals have a perfect record in post-season games away from home, going all the way back to 1970.

0-9

I’m reminded of what Chris Collinsworth said to Al Michaels when Michaels remarked that a certain play scheme wasn’t complicated: “These guys are football players, not rocket scientists.” Edit: Also, as terrible as his anti-vax stuff is, Rodgers is also a big supporter of the MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) Fund.

The Giants have hired former Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen as their new GM.

Houston gonna Houston

Yeah, I wanna give Caserio some benefit of the doubt but this is ridiculous. About the only thing that would legitimize them firing Culley is if they hire Flores or someone along those lines.

It’s insane because McCown’'s coaching experience is assistant coach on his kid’s high school team. He’s still technically a free agent QB and hasn’t retired from playing.

No other NFL team in their right mind would interview him for a head coaching position. Maybe QB coach, but there’s absolutely nothing on his resume that even warrants him for HC consideration.

Well, the Jags supposedly “talked” to him, but nobody is calling it an interview. But that’s the Jags.

I agree. He might make a good coach with some experience at lower levels but he shouldn’t be under consideration by anyone right now for the top level. The sad thing is that he was talked about last year in Houston as well. So there is some fascination Caserio has with him.

They are something special. I was half expecting it to be Skip Bayless.

Ben McAdoo is back. Hired as the new OC in Carolina. He worked under Jay Gruden for the Jags last year as QB coach. McAdoo was, of course, the head coach of the Giants several years ago.

Gruden was up for the same job but they went with McAdoo instead. Rhule will have nobody to blame but himself if this doesn’t work.

This made me laugh today:

I wasn’t expecting this: the Ravens fired (effectively) their DC, Don “Wink” Martindale.

McCown hasn’t even been an OC yet? The only McAdoo I remember played in the NBA.

To the best of my understanding, McCown has not been on an NFL or collegiate coaching staff in any fashion yet. McAdoo did a couple years as head coach of the Giants.
