The question of the day is about defense. Can the Pats and the Rams stop the two best offenses in the NFL?
And One is on the road. I like a solid defense to do well at home.
The question of the day is how much of this
I’ll end up drinking.
I like a nice rye in my whiskey sours. You’re tempting me today…

And a whiskey-ginger, and an old fashioned.
Rye whiskey is so good. I started out as a wheater, but have slowly been drawn more and more to ryes.
And it’s (mostly) local!
I just hope it doesn’t end being the best part of my day.
Ryes have become my preferred for whiskey cocktails period. I still prefer Scotch, a nice Irish and once in a while a peppery Bourbon for sipping, but Rye is the way to go for cocktails.
…eyes the bar…looks at the clock…eyes the bar again…

The games haven’t started yet, I’m holding back. But based on @cannedwombat’s comment I’m tempted to break out some Bulleit Rye a bit later.
It’s your fault, Wombat.
The strategies of the loser bowl in the elimination games is really fascinating, especially with the public nature of the picks. In this case, I really do think the Rams have the highest chance to lose, but it’s easy to make the case for all of the final four. The Patriots are probably the least talented of the teams remaining and they are playing on the road, but they are probably the best coached, and have a proven track record. The Chiefs haven’t been as good lately, and have questions about whether their high powered offense can be successful in the elements, but they have home field, and have been the most unstoppable team all year with phenomenal talent and completely shut down the Colts. The Rams are playing in one of the worst places to play, but may be the most talented team left in the playoffs, the Saints have homefield and are probably the most balanced team left with a ton of experience and a lot of drive from the loss last year.
It’s a fantastic final four, that’s for sure.
I like short guy QBs. I’m switching to Rams lose.
Now, I have a bottle to attend to.

Indeed. Nothing beats a Manhattan made with a good rye.
I feels ya my brother.

No drinking yet. I need to, though. Come on Rams, keep it together.
Overtime did not figure into my beverage consumption calculations.

Unfortunately I missed the fourth quarter and am in an airport security line. Come on, a few more people and I can find the nearest bar!
Defense wins Championships.
