Yes. It will fit on the internal memory.
Anecdotally, I’ve seen Switches in stock in recent weeks everywhere I’ve looked (Walmart, Target) in both Wisconsin and Colorado.
Cool. They are pretty common around me, but I’d hate to buy one just to get home and discover I can’t even download Zelda without having to make a purchase of a memory card. I know I’ll need more memory at some point, but it’s a bit expensive for me to need one right away.
System memory is about 32G, Zelda without dlc is about 13 and it’s pretty big for a Switch game. Mario is under 6. I had several games before I needed a card.
LA Noire won’t fit on the internal storage, apparently. It takes 29GB. Hell, it requires a 14GB download even if you have the cartridge, which seems ridiculous…until you hear Doom requires a 23GB download.
Doom’s download is only if you want multi, right?
The article I read said the mp download was 9GB and that it wasn’t clear whether the 23 (from the Switch e-shop) included the 9.

According to Gixel, for the physical copy, both the arcade mode and the campaign fit on the 16 GB cart, with the multiplayer being a separate 9GB download. What’s unclear, however, is how exactly this will be handled if you buy a digital copy of the game, since the listing on the official UK store page mentions that in order to use the software, “a download of 23GB via a wireless internet connection is required.” For me, the physical option sounds perfect, since I love the campaign and have no interest in any of the online stuff. I’m waiting to see the Digital Foundry verdict next week, just to be sure that the game manages to maintain a steady framerate during the more hectic, late-game moments.
