Nocturne HD is Switch/PS4, so it could theoretically make it elsewhere at some point, but Shin Megami Tensei V is Switch-exclusive.

God this narration voice is so fucking cool.

I’mma be pissed if I can’t switch to Japanese audio in-game.

Fantastic news about Nocturne! About damn time. Now they need to port all the other PS2 SMT games. And now that the 3DS is dead, hopefully Atlus will bring more stuff over to the Switch.

A virtual acquaintance is trying to acquire a Switch in the US. Do you have any tips? It seems most retail are following the crazy speculation prices.

I used the various services in https://www.stockinformer.com/checker-nintendo-switch-console to get my Ring Fit, which is similarly sold out everywhere. I had the actual site itself doing an alert (audio tone that’s VERY annoying, haha), plus the Discord notifications (you’ve got to register for their discord server for that one, but if you push Discord notifs to your phone, stock updates will hit you wherever you are).

Then, a mixture of patience + rapid reflexes :)

I came to the end of my first (failed) playthrough of Invisible Inc. and… well, it’s fine but even after several hours the controls didn’t click with me and navigating various floating UI icons with a thumbstick is characteristically awkward. I’m almost certain that the original version’s dynamic music is gone as well, with each mission starting with the ā€˜full’ music rather than it steadily building up with the security level–it’s a subtle thing but I think it subconsciously affects your pace and style of play! I used to love it when the security level went up and a new layer of the music was folded in, amping the tension a little more each time.

Thank you very much, forwarded it!

A shame to hear that about Invisible Inc.

It’s still very playable just not as smooth as I’d like after Into the Breach or SteamWorld Heist!

Is Trine 4 good for couch co-op? It’s on sale for $12, or you can get the collection of all 4 games for $20. Worth it?!?

Pretty much everything in Nintendo’s Indie World showcase today made me smile. Games I already like coming to the Switch, games I’d never heard of that look cool, and games that probably aren’t for me but still stand out with unique artistic styles or ideas. I just love the emphasis Nintendo is giving these games.

Most of these games are of course coming to other consoles and PC too, or in many cases already exist on the PC. But it’s still just so refreshing to see them all promoted together here.

Also, Untitled Goose Game gets a 2 player mode in September!

Oh! I see in the news that Hades is coming to the Switch. That’s great, I’ve been waiting for it to come out of early access, and the Switch is definitely my favourite platform for roguelikes.

Hades apparently has cross-save as well, so anyone who’s been playing already should be able to move their progress to the Switch if that’s their preferred platform.

Card Shark looks interesting… a game about cheating at cards that will teach you real-life card manipulation tricks set in 18th century France. Art style is neat too. Timelink

So happy I can play Grindstone without paying for Apple Arcade.

Hades was the draw for me, but I was impressed with this show. The art styles were more compelling than usual.

The Raji setting and mythos was intriguing, but I want to see some reactions first. No idea.

Horizon Chase Turbo is back at 70% off in the eshop for those that missed the earlier sale in the US.

Some good eShop discounts effective today! Luigi’s Mansion 3 is on sale for the first time, for example.

How is Divinity: Original Sin 2 on the lite or in undocked mode?

MFer! I grabbed NBA2020 for a fiver. Don’t care about all the superfluous crap but figured for cheap I get a good basketball game. Looks like the basketball is pretty great except that sports games have become so complicated I can’t play. So many combos of buttons and stuff to just pass the ball. And defense? No. I can’t even. FIFA is also on sale though it’s $15 I think but I’m not sure it would be any better. Fuuuuuuuu

Just play the fantastic franchise mode. You’ll get your 5 bucks worth. Great in handheld mode.
