Cross-saves with the PC version are coming in a later Switch update, just in case that helps.
Hollow Knight? That’s another one on my list.

Oh that’s interesting.
I have Hades on the epic store, but if I get it on Switch my mates are more likely to play it.
Plus the gaming experience on switch is sometimes more fun imho, for none 4 x games anyway (or games that don’t need a mouse) sit on a sofa, enjoy a large screen (I use a projector) and enjoy yourself.
Hollow Knight was a little bit too demanding on the combat front for me. Like, I felt I could figure out the bosses, but they all had like 50% too much health, so I had to just execute at a higher level than I cared to put in the time for.
There are plenty of good ones on the Switch though. Timespinner and Dandara are both pretty cool indies. I think Iconoclasts released a little while ago, and of course there’s Bloodstained, which finally got up to date with the patches.
Hollow Knight is incredible. One of the top three metroidvanias for me, the other two being the games that defined the genre. It’s just that good.
That said, your are right about the skill ceiling required. I also found the combat too restricted and repetitive. I have really high hopes the sequel will open up the combat.
Infernal Troves. I did one last night and the frame rate went to hell. :(
Hopefully this is a known issue and not something I can expect every time I do one of these time challenge events! Because apart from that, yeah it has run flawlessly.
Game itself is so addictive! Should be illegal.
I don’t even know what Infernal Troves are yet. I suspect you are further along than me. I play docked, no idea if it will make a difference, but hopefully when I reach the troves they’ll perform as well as what I’ve seen so far.
I’ve put in 8 hours or so since it came out and haven’t had much trouble with frame rate in the Infernal Trove battles. I have only noticed performance issues once when I had a room full of enemies that shoot purple balls. There were so many projectiles on screen it got very choppy. But all good otherwise.
Yeah I play exclusively docked too.
I’ve only had the game one night so I’m not that far either. The troves are I think the first improvement you get from the House Contractor shade? Maybe the second.
They’re like the Diablo challenge chests, you get more rewards the quicker you kill the enemies.
I don’t recall the specifics of this event but yeah, lots of projectiles I suspect, along with the big red overlay they throw on screen.
I’ve done a couple of troves, and haven’t noticed any particularly notable slowdown on them.
Cool, so I shouldn’t expect it to happen every time then!
I can probably live with rare slowdown without regretting not getting it on PC instead. :)
I had a crash in about 3 hours of play today with Hades. Happened right when I was leaving a room. Luckily everything saved and I was able to jump right back in after a restart.
Haven’t seen any frame rate issues playing docked. Incredibly addictive game, with excellent voice acting and writing so far.
Also some Monster Hunter Rise gameplay
Seriously, no mention of this?
My two kids are going crazy right now. We haven’t spent money on any other Smash Bros DLC ever, but this one is a guaranteed Day-1 purchase.
I’m saddened to see Steve fight for more than survival.
Exact same scenario here. With the added expression of mild disappointment that there is no Creeper fighter. But even my kids understand that there’s really no way to balance a self-exploding character.
I know some similar… their two favourite things in one! Super cool.
Most of the Zaccaria pinball tables pack are on sale 60% off. Base game is free to try as Pinball FX established it.
It’s a pinball game I really enjoyed on iOS, but they sadly dropped support for it.
Tables are old school, based on real 80s ones, and often quite simple (excepting their fancy remakes). It’s got a lot of customization and personality to set it up to your liking, it features various modes, and of course leaderboards.
It supports vertical rotation, of course.
It’s also available on Steam, for both PC&Mac.
The hottest shooting action around is out on Switch in just under two weeks.
