Hadn’t looked for awhile but today I noticed some good deals out there.

Lego City Undercover (Grand Theft Lego) is on sale on E store for a $5.99. The daughter and I love this one. It cracks me up.

In fact all the Lego stuff is deeply discounted 65% - 80%. I’m thinking of grabbing DC Villains so we can make our own bad guys, plus Mark Hamil’s Joker is always awesome.

I’m gonna grab this as well :
American Fugitive: Original GTA Lite. Seems like a good handheld goof off game for a $1.99. Palyed briefly on Gamepass and thought it was pretty fun.
Deku Deals - American Fugitive.

Other games I noticed at all time lows that I like:

Ironcast. Steampunk match 3 puzzle RPg thing. It’s great! $5.19

Sinslayers: Mobile like rpg. Simple but fun in spurts. $1.99

Of course the usual suspects at all time lows as well. Xcom, Bioshocks, Mario Rabbids. Some newer stuff Like Fenyx Rising and Outer Worlds as well.

Lego City Undercover is a steal at that price

I enjoyed it. One of the better Lego games.

Got it!

Been curious about this one for a while… I must own 6 or 7 assorted Lego games I’ve gotten free through Games With Gold over the years and just expected this one would be free at some point. But I waited and waited and watch it be next month’s free game!

Lego City Undercover was on Game Pass at one point, I agree it was a lot of fun.

Make sure you install it on the console’s storage on the Switch, because those loading times are no joke.

So this is really weird. I got a message from Walmart that because of their price competitive guarantee, my pre-order of the OLED model now is $50 cheaper. Huh? I logged in to make sure it wasn’t a scam email. Sure enough:

Probably just an error in their price match software, comparing it to a LED model maybe? Anyway, they have until October to fix it, so it will probably get “fixed” before then.

If it doesn’t get fixed, I’m buying a Pro Controller!

Psst, you should get one in any case (it was my second purchase, on the day following the day I got Shadow of the Colossus Compl… err Breath of the Wild, I mean).

Edit: ah, also found my mystery DS game!
It was Chosoju Mecha MG, and it seems the thing never got an US release, which is absolutely crazy.

The controls are all those knobs and buttons on the bottom, and each robot got its own panel. Infuriating sometimes but mostly awesome.

I probably will end up getting it. But I did want to give what comes with the console a chance first. Otherwise I might end up never trying it.

The other option is buying that contraption that Mellified linked to upthread that I bookmarked that lets you use your PS4 or Xbox controllers with the Switch. I know most people seem to love the Gamecube controller, for instance, but I found it extremely uncomfortable. So maybe the same people like the Pro Controller and maybe I’ll find that uncomfortable too? Who knows. Using the PS4 or Xbox controller is definitely lower risk as an option, since I already know I love those.

EDIT: Those mech controls look great. Though I’m thinking that was probably really hard to control.

This is what happens when you reply on 3 hours of sleep: I got it on the Xbox One (also on sale there), I don’t know how i didn’t realize this is the Switch thread.

I doubt it, the Pro controller is superb.

Also keep in mind it has much superior battery life, rumble tech, and gyro controls, compared to what you already might have lying about.

Yeah the pro controller is very different from a GameCube controller. It is much more traditional and very comfortable.

I haven’t used the PS5 controller yet, but the Switch Pro Controller is by far the most comfortable of recent console controllers. I don’t love the d-pad position for extended fighting game or platformer use (I prefer the PS4 swapped positions), but for everything else it’s great.

It’s a bit heavy for me, but what @Profanicus said about battery life is spot on: it was my first controller working on battery, and I was surprised the other way when I got an xbox one controller a few weeks ago and the thing had to be charged after two days of mild gaming.
I play my Switch mostly, and I charge the pro controller once per one or two weeks, it seems.

Surprised about the Xbox One controller experience you had. Both the duracells that came with the controller and my rechargables last about two weeks between charges.

(PS4 controller, on the other hand, needs charging pretty fast, nearly every day of use).

It’s on PC, if that matters.

Probably what matters is the batteries you used. Eneloops last me a long time. Not as long as Duracells, of course, but I’m not made of money.

What’s next, understanding electrolytes for gaming :O MS really expects way too much from me!

Thankfully the PS5 controller has much better battery life, but still nothing like the Switch Pro controller.

I think it’s the led light (that is used for VR or the PS eye cam), that is draining the battery… And you can’t switch it off, only set it to lower intensity.
