A port of Shiren 5, the Fortune Tower and Dice whatever the title is once translated… Anyway the best Shiren game ever, has been announced. Excepted to come out this year, will come with all the extra contents of the various ports, plus some new dungeon.

Great news! That’s a fantastic game.

Nice!

Oh man, that’s awesome! I picked this up last year for the PSP based on some other thread here and I played it for a good bit before putting my Vita away and forgetting about it. A chance to dig back into it and play on my TV or handheld would be most welcome!

Zelda fans, if I’ve only ever played the first Zelda on the NES, sound I play both of the Switch Zelda games? And if so, which order? I have BotW from a friend but didn’t know if I should play the other one first.

How dare you. Link to the Past is right there for the price of an online sub. Also, if you want a taste of the classic Zelda formula, it’s the correct answer to your question.

Ahh, didn’t even realize the online sub comes with the old classic games too, thanks!

Speaking of Zelda, is Link’s Awakening worth it? Kind of steep for $60, but it sure looks good.

And the online sub is worth it for the old games? I have no intention of every playing anything multiplayer.

I can.t speak for that, it depends on your relation to the limited selection of old games. But Tetris 99 might change your stance about not playing anything multiplayer.

On getting the subscription, it’s all SNES games plus Tetris 99. Personally, I’m not interested in most of the games, but Link to the Past and Super Metroid hold up rather well.

Others that hold up: Super Mario World and Yoshi’s Island.

Me, I like Tetris 99 a lot.

If you’ve never played it before, then I’d say it is if for no other reason that it’s one more game in the original Zelda format.

They haven’t changed enough besides graphics for it to be worth paying that for a nostalgia trip of a game you’ve already played, though.

I’d go right to BotW. It’s just so good. Link’s Awakening looks really nice but it still pretty much plays like a 30 year old gameboy game.

Link to the Past and Super Metroid are definitely worth it and Tetris 99 is pretty addictive.

The Breath of Fire games are good, if you like early 90s JRPGs and haven’t played those.

There are also a bunch of NES classics.

Any advice on fixing the card reader? My daughter put a card in backwards and got it out with a table knife. Nintendo’s repair facilities aren’t open right now unsurprisingly.

Update 10 to the system dropped today. In addition to “stability” and fluff, a nice new feature actually released.

Support for remapping buttons. So for Tom Chick and others who grind against the position of A/B, your ship has come in.

I’m really disappointed by the NA spring eshop sale. The EU one has The Witcher 3, BotW, and Divinity all on sale! Plus some other awesome games to boot.

Is there a specific day of the week sales start at the eshop? And is there a better way than scrolling to find what’s in sale?

They often start on Fridays, it seems like

They often start on Wednesdays, it seems like

Use dekudeals.com. So much easier to use than the eshop.
