I found this:

Looks like you can use a $40 transmitter that plugs into the audio jack on the switch and it will let you communicate with any bluetooth device.

Ooooh. Good. The only articles I found before asking here indicated that only certain devices worked with the switch via Bluetooth. I think I have a Bluetooth dongle I got for my PC th at I’ll try on my Switch.

$30 you say? Do I really need yet another copy of FF XII? It will likely just sit there for me as well as my Switch backlog has gotten ridiculous (all those damn sales!).

Ok, you’ve convinced me. Justification: Xbox One copy I have is digital, this one will be physical (for the collection). But that’s enough, now! No, I will not get Luigi’s Mansion 3, I will not do it…

Those things have been around for a while but I’ve never seen one with rave reviews. They always introduce some lag in the audio and depending on what you’re playing that can be a real problem.

I’ve seen positive impressions of this one, which is designed specifically for the Switch: https://www.genkithings.com/products/genki-audio

Haven’t tested myself though.

I tried Genki Audio but ended up returning it. My bluetooth headphones don’t support Aptx-LL or Aptx and Genki Audio depends on those codecs for decent audio latency.

Instead, I’ve been using this for a while and it works pretty well. Still a little latency as to be expected over bluetooth, but unless you’re playing a rhythm game or something it works fine:

I’m using the Creative BT-W2 with a USB-C adapter and it works great.

That said, if I was buying one today I’d get this Homespot one, as the form factor’s a much better fit for the switch.

Just found out (thanks to Animal Crossing) that you can save a maximum of 100 videos to internal memory, and 1000 videos to the memory card. I still have plenty of space available, but that’s the hard limit. It seems arbitrary and frankly unnecessary to place an artificial cap.

Any Bluetooth audio transmitter that connects to the headphone jack is going to add a noticeable amount of audio lag. They also need their own power source typically. Not recommended.

I bought the Genki one, which connects via the USB-C connector. It would constantly reset when I used the pass-through USB-C port with a USB-C HDMI dock to do video out to a TV when I travel. Dumped it.

I am using this now:

Works well enough. If you really want low latency you need AptX Bluetooth headphones though, which is an alternate audio codec not supported by the AirPods Pro unfortunately.

A friend gifted me the Wonderful 101, and told me he had a blast on the PS4.
Well, the Switch version might be something else. For a start, I experienced definitive lag in my inputs, which felt really weird coming from the people who gave Bayonetta.
The drawing is obnoxious, but you get somewhat around it quicker than not. The map half-assed design was weird, with a fixed camera done to troll you a bit.
Now to get to the really weird.

First, there is no pause button, as far as I can tell. But I couldn’t figure out how to use items either, so it’s probably an oversight on my part. Still well, in playing about 2 hours, couldn’t figure it.
The game uses heavily a dual system of dodge and protection move it doesn’t explain (uh, why not), but the problem is that your opponents attack using moves you have to use either/or tactics to counter. And it’s predetermined. Some attacks you can’t protect from; others you cannot escape from. Nothing tells you what it is, excepting practicing (and losing) the first few times you encounter a new enemy.

Finally, I played only a little, but boy, the glitches. They are pretty much anywhere, once you reload a saved game inside a level. It really feels unfinished.

So, in short, don’t rush to buy on launch is my advice. It’s a shame, because the lore and presentation of the game is lovely.

Yesssss!

Loved the Paper Mario games back in the day. Would still love a proper Super Mario RPG sequel, but they are lovely in their own right.

I love Paper Mario! Played it on the Wii. Such a lovely game.

The trailer looks very interesting! Probably a day 1 purchase for me.

I’m just sitting here pissy at the Metroid tease. Probably just me.

This probably won’t make it high enough on my wish list to actually buy and play it, but that’s a gorgeous looking game.

Please be good, please be good!

I really like the look of this, especially with Peach being the bad guy and Bowser being kidnapped. I also really hope this is good!

Hoping that they get the Thousand Year Door vibe back. Closest Nintendo gets to subverting the Mushroom Kingdom.

Cannot figure out whether that circular combat track will be interesting or not.

I hope they can get past the problem where you collect more and more powerful items, but never use them because you’re waiting for that one big fight when you actually need them. Or maybe that’s just a ā€œmeā€ problem.

That’s an RPG problem. I’ve never known one that surmounts it without entirely eschewing the idea of consumable resources. Which, frankly, I’d be all for.

The latter Paper Mario games exacerbated it by making your special moves use up consumable items rather than replenishing MP, from what I understand. What an utterly bizarre decision.
