That’s the soon-to-be-released 2DS XL handheld. It’s Nintendo’s simultaneous clamshell upgrade to the 2DS, and 3-D less downgrade to the New 3DS XL. The 2DS XL has the New 3DS XL’s snappier processor and second analogue nub, but drops the seldom used glasses-free 3-D display. It will sell for $150, and will be available starting July 28th.

Hmm, at that price I might get one if it has better battery life than even the New 3DS XL. I almost never use the 3D.
I will probably buy this.
I’ve been wanting the new 3DS XL so I could play Xenoblades Chronicles and the SNES games on Virtual Console. And I never use the 3D effect.
I can’t believe those SNES games couldn’t be playable on regular 3DS, I feel like Nintendo only made it compatible with the new system to give it an edge over the original 3DS. I mean, how can Dragon Quest VIII be playable on the original 3DS and not an SNES title???.
This is the only console I’m interested in.
