"No Holds Barred" by Clyde Gentry

I just finished reading an absolutely fascinating book called “No Holds Barred” by Clyde Gentry. It’s a non-fiction history of modern MMA, particularly in the US but with fairly good coverage of Europe and Asia as well. It is a complete behind the scenes look at the going ons, and Gentry apparently interviewed almost 100 different people over a couple years to get the scoop.

All the dirt is laid out – the backstabbing, political squabbling, political backfire/aftermath, the worked fights, etc. I read it in two days. If you’re a UFC fan AND you enjoy reading – granted, the combination of the two is unlikely =) – then you should definitely get it.
