Will get a couple posted soonish. Using an explorer with 4 solar panels atm. Its a pretty nice ride.

I built the exocraft teleporter on my freighter. It seems that you sitll need t build an exocraft station in each system? Is this true? What if I upgrade an exocraft, does that apply whenever I build one, or are each instance unique?

What is a good way to make nanites? I saw some videos on scrapping ships and selling the mods, but in my game I can’t seem to sell mods, (there is no sell option on the vendors), and I can’t trade them in the general market place. I just end up deleting them from my inventory. Also they are listed to sell in credits, not nanites.

Also, how does the whole living ship quest start?

I was able to summon an exocraft from my quick-menu (X on PC) -> Summon Vehicle -> Exocraft menu without building more than one exocraft station (out of that system). Exocraft are like the storage containers: all instances point to the same thing.

I have scrapped ships, done missions, refined salvaged tech (after maxing inventory). Turning in food, and getting the nanites for milestone progress from the NPC in the Anomaly all work. Exploring is a small but steady dribble from both items and scan uploads.

On the vendor first go into “Buy” then “Sell” is a sub-menu under “Buy” for selling mods. Yeah not intuitive. They do sell for nanites that way.

Not started it yet in my new game.

When I tried to summon an exocraft, it gave me an error like “No exocraft station in system”. On the buy sell thing, 'DOH" I should have figured that one out. Ill try it tonight.

What do you mean by turing in food? Like meat from an animal? To who? For the tech, you mean those things for unlocking base structures?

I also have some quicksilver and I have no idea where to spend it. I looked around the anomaly and found something that gave a mission to get more, but no vendor to buy things with it.

I did get an S class fighter which I am upgrading at great expense. Its very plain. I thought I cold paint it or something, but apparently that is not a thing for some reason in NMS.

Was the freighter in the system? Odd.

You can cook food in the Nutrient Processor, various recipes to be discovered. On the right side of the Anomaly you have 5 NPCS, two just talk, one gives nanites for rotating discoveries (planets, animals, etc). One gives nanites for milestone progress, and a random rotating turn-in item. And one is a chef/critic fellow who gives you nanites for food. You have to have the food on you to trigger his dialog. He’s right next to the appearance changer gizmo.

Vendor for qucksilver just to right of quest giving area for quicksilver down near parking.

Part of the long game is searching the galaxy for a sweeter ride …

Yeah the freighter was in the system. Do I need to build a exocraft pad on the freighter?

I have a stupid “Crashed Freighter” waypoint mucking up my home system. I’ve actually been there twice and the waypoint hasn’t disappeared.

Any way to make it go away?

You do not need to build an exocraft station on each system. Build one base and have one of each exocraft there then make sure you have the special exocraft summoning station there as well. Without that you cannot summon exocraft at will everywhere.

I’ve had a couple of crashed freighter icons stick around, but most of those icons will disappear after you visit the locations. I think it’s just a bug.

There’s speculation out there that painting will be a thing at some point.

Scrapping ships is a great way to make nanites. You can also mine gold and silver, refine them together, and refine platinum into nanites, but the conversion ratio isn’t as great as it once was. I just sell the platinum now, lol.

For exocraft summoning, best practice is to install the room on your freighter and place summoning stations down somewhere, anywhere, and leave them there (and summon each once). You should then be able to summon them whenever you need them.

If you have the food in your freighter or starship inventory it works as well. I am having a lot of fun discovering new cooking recipes.

BTW, the Positron Ejector for your star fighter with a few upgrades is insane! I think it’s got to be the best weapon for your ship?

Hoping to see QT3 ship pics today! :)

I do. I had the special planet wide one built with several exocraft. I could summon the craft anywhere on that planet.

Then later on, I got a freighter and build the summoning station on it. It was in a different star system at this point. I then went to some planet and tried to summon an exocraft and it told me that there was no exocraft station in the star system. I am fairly sure my freighter was in the star system when I tried this. I could try it again tonight.

This I didn’t do. I never did summon them in a system with my freighter and exocraft station. Ill just build a new station and try it.

I am also thinking about trying to do the artimus path and get to a lush galaxy before doing any serious base building. I wonder how viable that is.

Up above I noted to Jeff, get at least one base somewhere in Elucid. Other than that, as long as you can get your drives upgraded (to warp to all systems,) you’re free to roll through that entire quest chain.

Going through portals (not teleports to your base or space stations) BACK to Euclid won’t allow you to construct a base computer. So you have either the option of an existing Euclid base to teleport back to, or Euclid space stations to teleport back to, as long as they are still in your list of the last interesting stations you’ve been at.

This was my first A-Class rated that I picked up, a fighter. I don’t use it really, it was mostly holding on to the thought of it and dogfighting.

This model is common but it reminds me of the OG Battlestar Galactica ships:

This is the ONLY exotic I’ve run across at all. I haven’t upgraded it much yet. It reminded me of Harry Potter.

And this is my pride and joy. I take it everywhere and it is VERY upgraded, but only an A-Class Hauler. Really, really wish I had an S-Class.

I have other ships but they are mostly temporary as I junk them a lot.

I love that Exotic and that hauler. Awesome designs. I saw that exotic once and didn’t buy it and I’ve been regretting it ever since as I want badly. BTW is there another exotic that is very similar to that but without the beak? I thought I might have seen one, but I might have just missed the front appendage.

You can upgrade it to an S class for a bunch of nanites.

Any other Steam players having issues today? Steam says it can’t connect to the Steam servers, Steam Link says my Steam is offline and can’t hold a connection longer than a few minutes. Switched everything from Ethernet to 5g WiFi, changed wifi channels, no change. Not sure what else to try at this point short of wiping and reinstalling Steam/games.

Sadly, it’s more nanites than I have, thus me attempting ways to get more, aka buy and take apart ships, resell upgrades, etc. I’ve not really made much headway.

None for me. I’ve been connected 3 separate times today without issue.

Seemed to fix itself, or running Verify did it (it didn’t find anything, so…shrug).
