My first love affair with a hauler.
Color matching? On purpose? So cool!
And size! The hauler thinks he’s a shuttle.
That hauler is sweet. I don’t think I’ve seen one with engine pods like that.
I just upgraded my fighter to a B-Class, but it’s got 36/11 slots and a nice design. I think I’ll keep her for a while. I traded a broken Hauler for it, and still had to pay 25 million.
I spent a while the other day system-hopping, looking for S-class Exocraft engine upgrades. I swear I went through dozens, but finally found a station, bought 3, and put them in my Roamer. That thing is kickin now!
There Is way too much to do in this game. I keep getting sidetracked.
Small haulers are fun!
For someone looking for the more exotic hailers, not mine, but I got the screenshot with the
coordinates:
Amusingly the ships name is Burning Mother PL7. Kept mine, though this one looks nice too. Here it is from the back:

I think I found a design oversight that lets you make money and nanites at the same time.
I was in a space station and saw an upgrade I couldn’t afford so I decided to buy a ship and scrap it to get the mods to sell. I picked a cheap ship for like 1.5 million. The thing is, between the scrapping value and the value the items sold, I actually made a profit.
I did this 5 more times and every single time I made a profit. Then I took a chance on a 6 million dollar ship thinking I must lose money, but no. The scrap value was 4 million, and then it had a component on it worth 3 million and then several other components probably worth 1.5 million more.
Ill try this again tonight and see how well it holds up.
Also if you want to make tuns of units, you can use market manipulation. Go into a station and buy all the cobalt. Then go to another station and sell it all, then buy it back again. You may lose a bit of money on the 2nd station, but then go to a third station and repeat. You will start making a profit at this point.
The mechanic is this: When you sell enough of an item, you drive its price down. So you may sell 10000 cobalt at full price, but then when you do it will drop its price to like -80% and then you can buy it all back again.
Currently I have like 110,000 colbat in my inventory and one sales cycle nets me 14 million credits. I also buy suit upgrades at each station I visit.
I do have a question about navigation data. I heard you are supposed to talk to a cartographer (or something like that) to spend these who will locate a specific kind of structure for you. Are these on every space station? I have been looking and have not seen any on the few I have checked. I really would like to start finding manufacturing facilities.
The shop is always near the portal on the space stations.
I think the “scrap value” shown in the menu is in the items you get. It can vary a bit from what is shown. There isn’t a payment in credits.

Huh. Ill have to look again tonight. I have not noticed that I was losing money, but maybe I was not paying attention.
Traded in my shuttle for a fighter. Needed something other then my explorer wile I was planet hopping in systems.
I am having a hard time keeping track of where I’ve been. I’ve plopped down 25 temp bases for places I like for potential animal harvesting and now I’m confused about what’s what since it doesn’t always use the name I assigned the base.
The names you give bases do stick, but you almost always have to teleport out and in once to make the custom names show up correctly. Just remember the original name the game generated when you do it.
Animal parts, what from what, as near as I can tell:
Milk - quadupeds (maybe hexapeds)
Eggs - two limb bi-peds
Sticky “honey” - blobs or zero-peds
Proto-milk - four limb bi-ped (proto-gek, or teddy bear types)
Seems pretty consistent if you are looking to farm a specific thing so far. And the “blobs” or zero-peds frequently have models that look like bouncing phalluses. That is where sticky “honey” (quotes are Hello Games!) comes from …
Got an exotic now, ofc it showed up just as soon as I kitted out my explorer for warp range. Why!?!?!
Scrapped explorer, debating if I need fighter now either.
Yes. Exit portal look just to your right. Is Cartographer closest, then guild rep, then mission giver, then sales terminal. Or of looking at portal in station, just to your left.
And the bulk buy, reduce price money pump is a known thing.
If you’re curious, there are a few exploity methods for making cash that I could DM you. Be warned, though, that kind of thing will likely shorten your play time quite a bit.
The hauler can be found here, in Euclid:
It’s in a Vy’keen system, btw. I’d spent hours looking for the right one on my own, before finally resorting to reddit.
Here’s the full itty bitty crew, finally assembled:
The micro shuttle and fighter aren’t quite as yellow as I wanted, but hey.
A yellow Ranma! Very nice set.
Do the systems change as you get closer to the galactic core? Like do they get more interesting animals or wilder planets? I thought I’d read somewhere there are giant planets of giant animals, but I haven’t seen one yet.
I am riding this if you look closely:
Other new toy:
Cute! Ball exotics being modular, I think I like the ones with everything (fins, lance, etc.) or nothing (just the ball cockpit), best. And those colors are great.
Today I went on a bit of adventure. We can spoil the multiple galaxy stuff now, right? I think we can. Well, my current home, as it were, is about 650,000 LY from the core of Eissentam. I like here, but I’ve toyed with the idea of journeying and checking out other galaxies I haven’t been to, preferably Lush ones. But even with a hyperdrive range of 2,750 LY on my jumper ship, reaching the Core would probably be ~400 jumps (using black holes as much as possible) and 2-3 real life days, judging from previous road trips.
So I was at the Anomaly turning in a mission, and it struck me that the teleporter there can theoretically lead anywhere, depending on which players are currently around and where their bases happen to be. So I started teleporting around randomly, and at one point I found myself 2,000 LY from the Core of Loychazinq, which is the 21st galaxy (Norm, like Euclid). Now I’m just warping around here, checking it out. Pretty exciting.
Hah, I was on a planet earlier that had giant bug things just like that! There were also these crazy toad-cow-hybrid things that flew around slowly with miniature fairy wings. So I decided to tame and ride them. WOOOOOO!
