I just ran into a bug on a delivery mission and I wonder if it’s fixable. I have had this mission for a day or so and finally did 5 or so jumps to get to the target system. However, when I go to the trade depot to deliver it, the marker is below the depot. There is nothing at the marker. If I access the trade terminal it acts like a normal one (i.e., no option to deliver the goods). Any way to salvage this?

I’ve been clearing out my delivery missions - one worked, one of them I’d sold the item (grrrr) and this one is bugging out. Delivery missions suck (actually, I like them but I think I might only take one at a time and do it immediately).

Silly question…are you running any mods? And if you are, have you tried removing them?

It’s possible that you need to select the mission in your log before the terminal will react properly. Sometimes I’ll have a mission that won’t trigger unless I’ve gone into the log and specifically highlighted that particular mission. It’s been my experience that any missions with the base computer (for instance) won’t work unless you have that specific mission selected.

Thanks. But I’ve had to select the quest to even figure out where I needed to go in the first place, so I am pretty sure it’s the current quest. I’m going to go back there shortly and if it’s still messed up I guess I will just axe it. No great loss (I used each jump along the way to expand my suit inventory so in some sense it wasn’t a wasted trip!).

Some of these planets are just insane.

no mods or anything, re-verified files and re-downloaded both branches.

Did they change how you get an Atlas Pass? I’ve played two games for hours and hours and don’t have it. Everything I read says you do some easy initial quest from Polo and get the recipe for the pass, but I’ve spoken to him multiple times and nothing. Or do you now have to follow the Atlas questline maybe? I’ve done a bit of that but not much of it.

You can buy it from one of the vendors in the Nexus, if you’ve found enough salvaged data. That’s the route I usually take early in the game.

However, I’ve always been underwhelmed by the quality of the rewards for the v2 and v3 Atlas Passes. By the time you’re able to either learn or create those passes you’ve already reached the stage where you can easily buy whatever pittance they’re giving you behind those locked doors. Maybe it’s just me, but anything above the v1 pass seems worthless.

You can also unlock the Passes in Manufacturing Facilites.

And HideousRex is right, they’re not really worth spending a lot of energy/time on, unless you’re keen on the lore stuff in some of the locked areas.

Yeah, all I get is:

I’ll file a ticket and check the Discord, thanks.

It’s finally working again with today’s update.

Hooray! Now start mining… ;)

Still having a blast with this game. Most recently I have been looking for upgrades to my ships. Rather than pursue crashed ships and repairing them, which is how I started, I have now made a bunch of money doing refining and I am flying to systems and finding good looking ships and buying them. I’ve upgraded most of my ships to A or Exotic. It’s fun!

Man, do I wish you could have more than six ships. I would collect hundreds!

Was gobstopped by these beauties. Am told it is a new (new with Origins) Genus: BONECAT. 3.3 meters and aggressive.

Still playing this quite a bit. I love zipping to new systems and exploring them. As a result, I’ve collected some nice looking ships. Thought I’d show them off.

My main ship is an S-Class explorer that’s got some funky asymmetry going on. I have difficulty figuring out the color of this ship because it’s pretty reflective, but I think it’s silver and baby blue with some gold trim. I was lucky to get this one with a pretty big inventory out of the gate (36+12). I vaguely think I found this one crashed, but I don’t recall clearly.

From the day I got this, I’ve said to myself “someday soon I’m going to get a better ship and scrap this one” but I keep putting that day off. And as a result I’ve upgraded this out the wazoo. At this point it’s like an old friend so I’m not sure I could put it out to pasture!

A while ago I ducked into a space station for some reason. I bought a ship (don’t recall which) and this one landed about 10 seconds afterwards. I immediately bought it next because I thought it was cool looking. Unfortunately, I don’t really like the way it looks when it flies, but the colors ARE nice.

Another ship I picked up along the way. I learned this style is called a Guppy. I think I’ve named it Zee Eyeball. Haven’t used it much.

Found this fighter a couple of weeks ago. It wasn’t until I’d had it a while until I realized it’s got a backwards thruster mounted on the nose with some sort of vertical fin in front of it. I feel like it was some teenager’s home project gone terribly wrong. I did use this a while and enjoyed it.

This last ship I just got last night off the www.reddit.com/r/NMSCoordinateExchange, which is a subreddit where people post pictures of ships and planets alongside their coordinates, so you can go get one yourself. I really wanted a white/gold ship, and tried for an hour or two last night to get one from a system where the ship supposedly flies in to the space station. I never saw it though. Fortunately NMSCoordinateExchange had a listing for this ship which you find crashed on a planet. I grabbed it and have fixed it up.

As much as I wanted this, I’m not a super fan of the pods on the sides. Sort of makes the ship look like it’s got big hips.

I tend to only hold on to 5 ships (even though you can have 6) because if I see a ship I like, I want the ability to purchase it then and there. I flew into a station last night and an exotic landed right away - bright red, like the blue ship above, but the wings fold together above it when it’s landed. I really wanted it but since I had 6 ships and I didn’t want to trade in my current ship, I had to go swap ships, and by the time I got back it had flown off.

Apparently this got a Halloween Update today. Lots of spooky stuff added, mostly acquired by running Derelict Freighter missions (which may have increased difficulty).

Well, now I have festive gourds at my base. This makes me happy.

There’s a big disappointment there, though. My main base is on this ice planet- I wanted to build everything out of glass, and that made it easy. But my favorite thing about it was the local fauna- they were these little bipedal goblin-looking dudes (and dudettes, I assume). With the Origins update, they’re all gone. The planet is still just as it was before the update, but all the old animals are gone- in the encyclopedia they’re listed as ‘extinct’. There are a ton of new animals, in shapes I’ve never seen before, so that’s cool. But I miss my goblin neighbors.

I’m ready for Halloween…

A next gen update on top of some of these recent additions might get me to pick this back up…

That should be quite glorious.
