No Snickering: That Road Sign Means Something Else

No Snickering: That Road Sign Means Something Else

I didn’t even realize it HAD a tone.

Really? I play mine like every other day.

And it makes sounds when you do this?

I’m thinking about going on tour.

Not safe for work. Not safe for loved ones. I mean it!

I didn’t stop to think of the obvious consequences before Google image searching for that one.

This is gold; pure gold…

Titty Ho??? Really???

Slutshole Lane probably gets it’s name from the same thing that all of those Gropecunt Lanes dotted around the UK did. Most of them have been renamed unfortunately…

Haha, my first thought when I read that post back was ‘stupid iPod auto-correction’… I really hope there’s no one from Scunthorpe reading this site…

There’s nothing in Scunthorpe except for 70,000 people and a steel industry, so it doesn’t matter if they get gently touched.

Penistone made me snort, but upon clicking the link, I damn near spit out my ginger ale. Butt Hole Road, holy damn awesome.

Historical, but still awesome: Gropecunt Lane.

It doesn’t mean something else.

Edit: Ok, so it’s censored. Guess you’ll need to use your imagination and fix the link yourself.

I seem to recall reading Arthur Herman talking about rude and explicit place names being somewhat common in his book, How the Scots Invented the Modern World. Or at least, not particularly uncommon. Problem is, my copy is in a box somewhere at the moment and I wasn’t able to google examples.

No love for the river Piddle? or is that just too British a rude word?

Wheee!

I read that article this weekend as well. Imagine living on that street and having to write that down on applications or work documents :)
