I was using the Nvidia control panel earlier to increase the fan speed of my 8800 GTS because it was starting to overheat often. Problem is, when I switch on direct control and switch the fan speed to 100%, the speed keeps reverting once I restart my PC. Before I restart it maintains the fan speed, but once I restart I have to manually switch to direct control again and increase the speed.
Is there a way to make the setting stick?
