Obamacare is the law of the land

I lived in Australia for three years, which included doing consulting work for a large hospital in Melbourne. They do have a better healthcare system.

Trump is such an imbecile.

Even my most redneck regressive Aussie friends think weā€™re idiots when it comes to healthcare.

These are people who have literal barrels of guns buried on their land.

Itā€™s weird that I also know a guy in Australia with guns buried in a box.

I assumed he was super crazy.

In case anyone was looking for the full text of the AHCA:

  • H.R.1628 (American Health Care Act of 2017)
  • H.R. 2192 (waiver provisions - members of congress and congressional staff not exempt)
  • MacArthur Amendment (states cam opt out of covering pre-existing conditions, etc.)
  • Upton Amendment (provides ā€œ$8 billion over five years to help cover the insurance costs of individuals with pre-existing conditionsā€)

That is some cold fucking math but you kind of have to respect its brutal honesty.

I have to sincerely doubt this survives the Senate. At least in anything resembling itā€™s current form.

If it does, Iā€™m just going to have to go hang myself, I suppose. Save everyone some money.

He looks so tiny. Is he tiny? Because he looks very, very small.

Seeing the guillotine now trending on Twitter over this. Armando would be proud.

Well, again, itā€™s a bit quick and painless for my preferences, but at least theyā€™re getting into the proper spirit!

Also trending on Twitter: #IAmAPreexistingCondition. Depressing as hell, of course, but Iā€™m very glad it exists.

Itā€™s pretty heartbreaking, but then againā€¦ so is whatā€™s happening to them.

Also seeing the really conservative people I follow backing the people saying how horrible this is, is somewhat reassuring. Hell even the very libertarian ones are doing it.

This is the politics forum ā€“ stop talking about Cleve

Iā€™m pretty sure they all did it when the ban hit. They acted like it was something that was so common that everyone who owned any guns is basically assumed to have done it with a few of them.

Theyā€™re all going to be boned when the mole people finally rise up with their caches of purloined guns.
