Obsolete things from your youth

Kali seems less bloated than Team Viewer, Hamachi or whatever people are using to play old games today. But does Kali support voice chat?

I was just looking in a box today which still has my 2400 Supramodem and a 14400 Linelink. I think there is a 300baud one in there somewhere. Never used acoustic cups though,

B drives

How many people can say they had one?

Oh and the portable Zip drive.

Obsolete from my youth goes back a bit farther than Zip drives:

carbon

Almost everyone who used a PC in the late 80s to early 2000s. Two 5.25" drives was standard equipment on the original IBM PC, XT, and AT. Then there was the transition period from 5.25" to 3.5" when it was almost necessary to have both. Beyond that, even in the era of ubiquitous hard drives, it was still useful to have two 3.5" drives to copy data directly from disk to disk. So yeah… pretty much everyone had a B: drive.

A: drive will always be 5.25" and B: the 3.5"

Pfft.

“,8” will always be 5.25

DF0 will always be 3.5

RE: Kali
Yep, mine still works. I haven’t had a good game of Descent 2 in ages, though.

Mail ordering something and being told it will take “4-6 weeks” for delivery.

Correct answer right here.
