OK D&D experts: Explain to me how Roy’s father is able to hang around even the outer gates of a Lawful Good afterlife with his consistently Neutral Evil behavior.
…I’m a little slow, but, uh… his dad doesn’t want him to know V is turning evil because he admires the fact that V is quicker at getting stuff done?
I love how Roy is trying to game the afterlife.
Hahaha. Did anyone else notice the other name card? That is to say, the name of the other person soon to depart the afterlife? Nice touch.
I saw it, as it flew over my head…
Help a gamer out, who is it?
S. Rogers = Steve Rogers = Captain America, who died a few years ago and is now being resurrected by Marvel.

Alignment in D&D is always a technicality.
He wants to get out of the limbo he’s currently in. As long as Xylolion (un)lives he’s stuck there. So anyone who tries to speed that up is win for him.
But I do feel that is a tentative link at best because V had a different reason for turning evil. The whole attack was more of an afterthought.

The S. Rogers card is why OoTS is so much fun. It’s like the classic bugs bunny/O Brother for gamers…IE, can you spot all the literary allusions and references.
I think he’s in a limbo place off of which are the gates to all the alignments afterlives. He could probably walk a few feet and be hanging out by the gates of the Chaotic Evil afterlife.

Also, we never saw him get judged like Roy was. It could be that he is actually bound for one of the more appropriate afterlifes, but they wont judge him until after the blood debt is cleaned up. Roy was judged because they already decided that the blood debt wouldn’t apply to him.

Elan. So predictable. So reliably hilarious.
Ha, I LOL’d at “You’re invisible!” That’s a great callback.
Truly this is a glorious day.
