Ahhhh, gag strips!

Is it too cynical to view these as Rich giving people what they want, rather than what they need?

Not too fussed, he’ll get back to the delicious spicy plot I love so much in good time.

Well, I enjoy the phrase “A wagon of Chinchillas”, but that’s probably because I spent half a day reading on animal grouping names. An unkindness of ravens and a parliament of owls have such poetry to them.

Eh, a gag a day is pretty much how OOTS began. I still enjoy them.

Yeah, I’d be happy with nothing but gag strips. I could listen to Belkar say stuff like “…pick someone to rub down your potion factory” all day.

Make no mistake, there was no disapproval on my part. I like gag strips!

“Once you go scaly, you’ll be back daily” was pretty funny.

That said, having two misunderstood word jokes at the heart of the strip was a bit much.

Totally worth it for the making fun of reptiles with tits.

Just in case anyone missed the reference, it’s a gag about female Dragonborn in Fourth Edition - they have teh boobzors.

Do not want.

Yet another new one.

Oooo, I like this one. Good throwaway gags at the expense of 3rd edition and 4th edition, plus some nice character development showing that V still doesn’t have a grip.

4th ed?

I assumed he was poking fun at Warlocks from 4th edition. I guess there were some warlocks in a 3rd edition splatbook somewhere but they are a core class in 4th.

Interesting.

I don’t know why but I found the first panel hilarious.

Warlocks became core in 4th because they were introduced in a splat in 3.5E and became EXTREMELY popular.

Talk about slander; that guy had it coming!

Maybe, but I’d guess he’s still talking 3rd - the status of warlocks (apart from being weak, maybe) isn’t really a thing that people talk about in reference to 4th ed, they’re just another class.

Warlocks don’t have a reputation for being weak that I’ve ever seen (as far as 3.5 goes). Generally I see them considered a very potent, arguably overpowered class.
