I think Burlew already told us something’s fishy. When the illusion triggered in 693 it quoted “Gate” as the first keyword. Maybe I missed something but it looks like Burlew went out of his way to have everyone use every description of what they were after EXCEPT for the word “gate.” It’s not mentioned elsewhere in the strip.

Just for the record, while I have in the past been somewhat critical of the update pace, my comment above was a simple statement of fact - I had actually forgotten completely about OOTS in the last two weeks. That’s all I was saying.

I wonder if the slow pacing is due to writer’s block of some sort. It’s like Burlew doesn’t know what to do with the characters after all the character development during the last major “don’t split the party” arc so he’s reverting back to their original types. The recent strips are particularly hard to read because they seem so forced.
I just wish we could figure out what was causing the slow pace of this strip, so that we could fix the pace, so that it wouldn’t be so slow. That would be awesome.
That would be really funny if the ‘debilitating but non-fatal’ disease he was suffering from all along was chronic writer’s block. The irony!
