[QUOTE=strategy;2177148]Thought about that too, but not likely. For one, Elan/Haley have already been pretty busy QUOTE]
They prefer the term “Smite evil.”
Okay, so let’s look at this. We have two dragon-esque creatures hunting a bounty on the Linear Guild, and they nab Elan and Co. by accident.
The wanted poster they show is the original linear guild, including the kobold ranger. That would mean it pre-dates the first time that the OOS met the LG, since Belkar killed the kobold in that first encounter, IIRC. The dark elf wizard died at some point, too, right?
It also doesn’t mention the female dwarf priest that left the LG during that first encounter.
So, did Belkar kill the kobold on the first pass or in a second encounter? I’m afraid I don’t have time to search the archives.
Also, treason is mentioned. That’s a strange charge, since we don’t know what nationality Nale claims, or do we? That is a narrow charge, only applicable to citizens normally, so could really narrow it down, mebbe. What country is “EOB?”
5000 gp is what, enough to buy a +2 weapon? That’s not exactly a king’s ransom.

Yikyik gets killed off in Episode 63: Together, They’re Six Feet of Whoop Ass. The kobold’s kid Yokyok shows up in Episode 348: Someone was Looking for You and is killed in Episode 357: Pen Beats Sword.
The Linear Guild’s elf wizard gets dragged off by lawyers in Episode 65: The Magic Words.
The bounty is 35,000 for gang leader Nale and 5,000 for each of the other members.
D’oh! Misread that then. Still not a king’s ransom, but then again D&D economics always falls apart if you look too closely.
Somebody look up the Armor Class on the Beast with Two Backs! (not new)

Hmmm, let’s see… 10, say +5 for dex, +1 for the dodge feat, -2 for being grappled, and let’s assume any magic items come off…
So, errr, 14? Make that a 10 if prone (18 vs. ranged attacks).
Given that the notice mentions an “Empress of Blood” EOB is likely “Empire of Blood”. I’m guessing either Ravenlofty vampires or the sorta Chaos-y themed evil warriors seen in Nale’s flashback of his father.

It’s time to vote for OOTS as the best webcomic! (Even if you don’t agree)

Pretty strong “Yes” on the “Lawful” bit. The name certainly sounds like “evil,” but we haven’t seen anything explicitly evil yet.

Oh, right. That. I’d already forgotten that. Yes, that would be explicitly evil.
OK, so … Lawful Evil it is.

Also… is it just me, or do the picketing slave drivers bear some resemblance to Lord Humungus’ gang from The Road Warrior?

The punchline is inventive, intelligent, fits the characters, funny and unembarrassedly juvenile. In other words, great!

Can I have a witness to the fact that Mr Burlew is back on the motherfucking block?
