Will help.

Yeah, but the split party nonsense gave us the distilled awesome of V’s sojourn to the dark side.

I trust him. And as above, it’s a useful mental exercise.

Hm, I think I’ll go back and reread a swathe… the Miko bit, maybe.

732: The Papers Chase

I think the wall Durkon used Stone Shape on was the fourth wall. Nice.

That was the town wall… so he could get out of town in the next frame.

I love seeing a use of stone shape in OOTS. Stone shape is in fact the funnest spell in all of 3rd edition dungeons and dragons. My group always used to do the wackiest shit with it just because we could.

This is what I get for skipping out on all the 3rd/3.5th edition stuff; I had no idea wtf that spell was.

It – brace yourself – shapes stone.

Yeah, but I’d call that spell “Shape Stone” rather than “Stone Shape.” “Stone Shape” sounds like you’re turning something into stone (petrifying) to me.

Yoda made up the spell names. (i agree with the rimbosessment of the spell name)

“Form of… a bucket of lava!”

True. Spell names frequently are a bit obtuse; I guess I’m just used to that one.

So, anyone want to be the missing cantraps will be the basis of a gag in a coming strip? Also, how did the rest of the party enter the city without papers to begin with? The hut is right there, and I get the feeling that the guards at the gate would ask about them before letting anyone enter.

They were prisoners?

High level parties do not enter towns through the main gates. They arrive via teleportation/flight/dimensional gates/etc.

The rest of the party, Roy, et al. Maybe they teleported in or something…

733 Collect Call

Ah, INT. The dump stat of clerics.

I’m still surprised they didn’t just evade the police. Those guards were what, level 2?

Roy is lawful good. As for Belkar, well, he’s “playing along” these days.

Roy and Belkar should clean up in the Arena. Can’t wait!
