Definitely Elan’s dad in disguise. Totally cliche and theatrical for a ruthless dictator, which fits Tarquin to a T. Also, recall how he spent time to check out the new gladiators, which would make sense if he is checking out his future opponent. Plus… hey, Gladiator…?

Easy for him to slip out (recall he was not there at the start of the arena show either). But we’ll find out soon enough.

I noticed the green-haired elf was frowning at the familiar when he said that. The elf was also frowning at V earlier. Who is this elf, and why does s/he frown so often? Is s/he a relative of V’s ex?

And I didn’t notice until now, but the side effect of the allosaurus escape is that apparently both the lizardfolk guy and the half-dragon are still alive.

I do not know if the elf has any greater role to play in the story, but the Kingdoms of Blood, Sweat, and Tears do share a continent with some elven nation.
