And with Tarquin (LE).

Exactly.

It’s not ambition or the ability to brag he lacks, it’s more the ability to implement the grandiose plans. The whole communication mishap thing comes to mind :)

I was wondering about that as well. I’m assuming Durkon is Lawful Good – Durkon’s actions sure seem LG, although his patron god seems to be more Chaotic than anything else.

I guess Durkon and Malack might bond over their shared Lawfulness, although I can see LG and LN getting along a lot better than LG and LE.

I suspect Malack is more Lawful Evil myself. Burlew likes to play around with alignment types. In particular, the basic point of Miko’s storyline was how a Lawful Good character can also be an antagonist. Now, we’re seeing how an Evil character can also be an ally (whether its Tarquin or Malack).

Or, he’s just neutral.

I could see Neutral. Durkon seems more NG than LG for one thing.

Naww, remember the whole plot point about how he couldn’t lie? Definitely LG.

I’d say he’s more likely to be lawful neutral than neutral good. This is the man who said Roy had to serve his sentence (albeit not knowing the sentence was death) for not having a pass to be in the city. Still, Lawful Good is the most likely.

I believe we’ll soon get back to the main story.
But first - some red tape:

Love how Belkar has really begun pulling his weight around as a member of the party. Also, if Rich brings him back into the story with a ressurection after he suffers his foretold death, it is now beginning to make sense for the rest of the party to want him back.

Regarding alignments, Rich has specifically stated that Durkon is Lawful Good.

The rest:

Roy - Beleaguered Good (Lawful Good)
Haley - Chaotic Greedy (Chaotic Good-ish)
Elan - Foolish Good (Chaotic Good)
Belkar - Selfish Evil (Chaotic Evil)
Varsuvius - Arrogant Neutral (True Neutral)

I could be totally off on this, but I thought the prophecy was he dies and stays dead.

True. Though I’m sure Rich will work around that, if he wants to.

Vampire halfling ranger!

A meaningful relationship with Tsukiko!

If it wasn’t stick figures, that would be a disturbing mental image.

I will be really surprised if he does. He’s jabbed hard at the twisty words style of prophecy and he’s laid it on extremely thick with foreshadowing about the death.

If he did something like bring back Belkar it would be very cheap. Dead will be dead, presumably at the (upcoming) end of the arc.

The actual prophesy is:

Thanks for digging those up, Tin!

My desire to avoid putting in my daily NaNoWriMo quota is a powerful incentive to do OC stuff like this.
