There is a list that I keep of things that I did not see coming. To it, I will add this.

“Not any more’n Belkar, I’d wager.” This is so good.

I was expecting that particular bit of party-splitting to take quite a bit longer to resolve.

V’s still AWOL, so your expectations aren’t wholly off base.

+1

V’s only gone for ~20 minutes though, and that includes the time taken to tear down the gate and attempt to run out of the pyramid, so I’m expecting him to show up in a cartoon or two and finish off the Si Elemental.

I’m curious if Durkon can’t cast healing magic any more or if he just had trouble touching Roy because undead often have touch-based negative energy attacks.

Oh no, it’s way way funnier than that.

See, formerly he was good, and good clerics can spontaneously convert memorised spells into cure spells. Evil clerics, on the other hand, spontaneously cast the inflict, damaging, versions of those spells. Being Durkon…he didn’t consider that :)

(He’ll need to specifically memorise cure spells in future ^^)

What can neutral clerics do?

They choose which way they swing at character creation.

They have to chose at 1st level which they do.

edit: Pah, I was slow :)

So the Linear Guild is rapidly becoming “Linear Duo” with AntiHero Boy and his sidekick Demon Girl.

Does that mean this part of the story is coming to a close and we return to the “real” storyline?

So that’s what they’re calling “it” now…?

Won’t you take me to…STABBYTOWN!

(Sung to the tune of “Funkytown” of course)

Return of not-any-more-evil-than-Belkar Dukon makes my heart super-happy.

909 Shifting Sands

Hahaha, “Stabbytown”…

Awesome.

I’m wondering about the payback, given Durkon was good at that while good… (see: endure heat)

I think he’s taken his lessons from “Don’t split the Party”. IIRC, he pretty much promised to not do another one of those sequences.

910 Marching On

Nice. I checked this morning and there wasn’t anything there, glad to see that he’s really on top of updating!

Also: dinosaurs! :D
