I know. Another way is typing the url and clicking on the latest comic at the left.

The problem with that and the reason this thread has generally done a direct link is that the site gets hammered when a new comic is put up. It takes longer if you go to the site and then have to load the comic.
A straight comic link is quicker.

Delicious, delicious fail… How sweet it tastes.
Edit: New one.

Nooo, don’t let them get…uh…those guys…?
Yeah, I’ve now totally lost the thread. Who are those two again?
Minor characters, the two no-name guards who got promoted to minor character status when they gave their names. They were later married.

Yay. The plot twists off in yet another direction.

They kept part of their name still hidden though to use as a life saving reveal during the marriage ceremony.

They’ve been in the plot for a while - the guy is the one who rescued Durkon (“Today Daddy learned about encumbrance!”). I wouldn’t call this a new direction - it’s the culmination of the half-of-OOTS-on-a-boat plotline.

Perhaps, but it further splits the various characters.
Note that we now have the following seperate (at least at the moment) things happening:
- Roy in heaven.
- Therkla and Elan heading towards the ships
- The two married people on the ship, one of which is about to give birth
- Hinjo, Vaarsuvius, and Durkon fighting on the island
- Celia, Haley, and Belkar trying to resurrect Roy
- Various villains like Tsukiko, Xykon, Redcloak, and the Monster
- The latest with the paladin O-Chul
And there are probably others.
It’s hard to keep track of all of that with only 2-3 strips a week. As others have said, it’s probably not a bad way of telling a story in a book or compilation, but dribbled out in this medium, it doesn’t work as well IMHO.

Ah, fair point - i see what you mean. I think we can anticipate that a whole bunch of plotlines are going to be wrapped by (or in) #600, though.
Yet another new one up
If he’s going to pull together all these threads by 600, he’d better move faster than this.
Wow, my wife wouldn’t even drink caffeine when she was pregnant, much less whatever Kazumi just chugged down. Of course, my wife was never set upon by ninja assassins. That I know of.
I think potions of heroism are safe for pregnant women in moderation. Killing ninja assassins is a little iffier but as long as she doesn’t strain herself it’s probably okay.

Weren’t we all thinking it would wrap up by #500?
I think at this point it’s an epic joke about bad DMs and too-long campaigns, and there will just be one or two comics where he makes the joke and everyone teleports together and goes dungeon-running for Xykon again.
You know, this is exactly how I pictured Angie’s pregnancy.

Angie’s is far worse; she’s turned to fiction that would melt most men’s minds.

Thanks for reminding me of that - see this for a neat list of the tropes Burlew’s used elsewhere in the strip.
