He had some health problems a while back that caused him to almost stop the strip completely. I can’t help but expect that this also affected the quality of production, not just quantity. I expect that things will improve as his health (hopefully) does.

Does anyone know what is afflicting him? I don’t mean that disrespectfully, I have just been hearing about it for years. I am sure if he wanted to he would come out publicly with it, he would but my celebrity curiosity eats away at me in the twilight hours of my propriety’s slumber. Or something.

This only confirms my theory that Rich intends to kill off most or all of the OOTS. The revolving door nature of death in D&D is one of the few really silly areas of the game he hasn’t poked extensive fun at yet.
