If you want my long term guess, it’s that Vaarsuvius is going to eclipse Xykon as the villain, and they’ll all need to work together to stop him/her in some fashion, forcing Roy to team up with the Lich that done killded him.

See comic 602 for the passcode business. Basically, the Mark of Justice can only be removed when said passcode is said, and this cleric in a smidgeon of D.E.M. knows it. Beyond that, looks like I called it.

Awesome. And of course, the passcode is something invented by the guy our own Belkar was hallucinating. So of course it fits in perfectly with the plot.

…it’d be more impressive if he hadn’t revealed this a mere 8 strips ago. I’m starting to think he kinda wrote himself into a corner without a clear plan and is having to try and figure out what to do next. Thus the blab from Roy about Durkon being “Base.”

(Edit: I should add… it’s not that I’m complaining. Not like it’s the worst webcomic I read or anything…)
