Hm, things may suddenly be getting interesting in the Harbinger league. I was leveling up a new toon and suddenly red portals with tentacles started appearing after killing some mobs and I just crashed and got a patch with no warning. Maybe harbinger isn’t just the somewhat “same old whatever loot box” mechanic it has appeared to be thus far.

Looks like that might be caused by the recent patch, people are reporting all kinds of weird shit on reddit. Like guardian abilities being cast in the middle of a Shaper fight and such. If you haven’t done it yet you should restart your game and see if there’s a client patch available.

No, you always get the item lol. What makes this helm so valuable is the enchant on this particular helm - it’s currently one of the best wander helmets in the game and the enchant is hands down the most valuable enchant for wanders. Chances of getting it on any enchant craft are 1:400 and you do two enchants at the time each time you finish an uber lab.

Only with prophecy, which you obviously take if you’re actively farming an enchant.

Here’s my probably last character for this league - pathfinder wander. So far it’s only lvl 80 so I still have some life and damage nodes to go but it’s already super fun for mapping:

I’ll definitely have to research some budget options for the start of next league because it’s pretty hard to go back to a ‘normal’ character after you experience something like this.

I love how you guys switch to a different language so the rest of us can’t follow what you’re saying. It reminds me of my days as an international student in the early 90s, switching languages to have private conversations. :)

(Not that it matters to me in this case. I’ll never reach the point in the game that you’re talking about anyway, so the language change will mean nothing to me at any point).

Thank goodness. I’ve never made an uber lab farmer so I only run it a couple times each league. I thought maybe uber was automatically 2 chances and I hadn’t been using the second. With the ever increasing number of enchantments I actually rather hope they do increase it to a base of 2 tries as it’s getting quite difficult indeed to get what you are looking for.

If you grab darkshrines in the lab, watch out for extras from those, too. I think you can get three total enchants now. Just keep clicking the enchant button until it runs out :)

I don’t play all that much, but just the other day I got a drop that has to be the most unique item I’ve seen: Tabula Rasa

At first I wasn’t sure whether or not it was worth giving up stats on chest armor for the sockets, but word seems to be that this is actually a great leveling item (though not so good for end game), so I guess I’m actually pretty happy to see it.

Yeah, Tabula is rather a cornerstone item for leveling. Everything dies so fast when you 6-link your starting skill that it doesn’t matter that you don’t have any stats. That and some Wanderlust boots and 1 piece of elreon jewelry and I’m basically good to go for any twink build.

I think it’s the ‘Show Corner Map’ setting in the UI tab of the options menu. I’ve had these settings for years and they seem to have carried over to 3.0 where they changed a bunch of default settings.
