Hmm, that phys skelye/zombie build posted above sure packs a punch. Cruising through act 8 on a 4 link. Thanks to the folk that dropped some vaal skelly gems in the guild stash!

Is it possible to get into the QT3 guild? I’m just starting maps, but I end up playing more leagues then not…
Yep, what’s your current toon’s name? Can’t remember if I have invite access, but whoever does will need your current toon in the Metamorphosis league.

Awesome! Whoever has invite rights, thanks in advance =)
I really need to do this. Feels like there is a tiny patch at least once a day now – and its application through Steam takes forever.
Sent you both a guild and a personal friend invite, @Fozzle. Hopefully both work, but if the guild one fails for some reason you can ping me when you see me online and we’ll get it fixed.
Is it kosher to ask for a guild invite for a pal of mine who isn’t a member Qt3? He’s a good person, isn’t greedy, etc, etc. He also plays 2H weapon builds all the time and nobody ever seems to use those juicy 2-handers we have in the guild stash!
Sure, go for it. I did the same for a friend of mine a while back, although sadly he doesn’t really play any more.

At least, I think you do. Officer-level can invite, as far as I know. There’s a box at the bottom of the guild screen for you to send an invite. If it doesn’t for whatever reason, send me the name and I can do it.
That’s got to be mostly on your CPU/RAM/SSD. I’ve never been on Steam. The standalone client took about 90 minutes to patch for me last night.
Finally collected enough boss livers to do a boss metamorph in Tane’s lab thingy. Pretty tame fight, pretty much like a normal one, though I suspect that’ll change once I’ve gotten some big red-map boss livers. Decent drops, though, multiple uniques and a bunch of currency you don’t see often, like Harbinger Orbs.
Wait, you can do stuff in Tane’s Lab? Can you do stuff in the other places in the game too? Like that weird beastmaster guy’s place?
And what’s with the chick that does the prophecies? What is a prophecy exactly? Every time I get a Silver coin a huge question mark appears above her head, but then there’s nothing obvious for me to actually do in her interface. I must be missing something.
To answer some of my own questions:
Tane’s lab has a metamorph chamber in another room, but it requires monster organs from maps, which I believe is post-game content, so I don’t need to worry about that part.
The Beastmaster’s guy’s place has a blood alter on the map, it’s confusing because it looks like it requires lots of ingredients, but apparently you only need one ingredient to actually activate the alter. I advise not doing so. It almost killed my Witch. I drank all the potions and use my traveling spell and had all my skeletons out and phantom stuff and zombies, and I still almost died twice. And I’m still not sure what the heck the point was since I didn’t get anything from the blood alter.
The prophecy check is really confusing. You click on seek prophecy, which sort of gives you a mystery quest, an enemy to kill that you don’t really know about, but sometimes you get lucky and kill that enemy which fulfills the prophecy, but most prophecies go unfulfilled, I think? Anyway, even the ones you get don’t seem to offer any kind of reward as far as I could tell.
The prophecies can be incredibly profitable if you get the right ones. Some (most) of them give minor currency type rewards, or put mobs in the map which get you more currency/items. Some of them are quest lines which lead to big rewards at the end.
Beastmaster I don’t use much, I didn’t like bestiary league and so never really learned much about it. I use it for the flask recipes, getting a guaranteed anti-bleed flask is usually the first (and often only) thing I do in there. As I understand it there are some crazy strong shenanigans that can be done with that as well though.
If you only put in one creature I suspect you just chose to fight that creature and not do one of the recipes. I’ve never tried it so I’m not sure. For the flask recipe for example you put in a flask that doesn’t have a suffix on it, then click the recipe that says “add staunching to a flask”, and then it will select the necessary creatures for you to fight.
There are probably some creatures that you’d save (you can pick specific creatures for the recipe) for special recipes if you got into it enough but that’s far beyond what I’m willing to spend time learning.
You sacrifice captured beasts at the alter, like other ‘crafting’ in POE, there are recipes - you need to add a couple of types of beasts to trigger the recipe. The UI should show you what is available and if you have captured the required beast types.
And further to @Outlandish reply, many prohecies themselves actually are the reward - in that the mob/s that will spawn will drop better gear/currency. There are others that lead into prophecy chains that give access to some end-game content (and related item drops) and there are others that provide other mechanical advantages (like the one that allows you to apply two enchantments at the end of a Labyrinth run, instead of one.
Generally it is not recommended to seek prophecies until level 60+, so as to not waste the RNG/drop benefit in rolling low ilvl gear.
The summoner is great but I do have the occasional time when I get murderated by ranged guys. I see in that guide linked way above, she talks about upgrading your Pantheon choice by upgrading it… and it says to upgrade it you have to “capture” a mob. I’ve never done that or even tried it for that matter. How does that work? Is it as simple as going to the place where the mob spawns, seeing if it spawned, and if it did, killing it? Or is there some other mechanic involved?
There’s a special map fragment called a Divine Vessel. You have to find the map with the boss you want to capture (the atlas has a note showing upgrades on the map tooltip), then put the vessel in the map device along with the map. Open the map, kill the boss, then look in the map device and you’ll get a filled vessel. Give that to Sin to upgrade your pantheon. There’s more about the whole pantheon system here.
