I’ve only got the 1, and you need 5. But if you need that one to complete a set, let me know, it’s yours!

That’s very kind of you but I was totally kidding. I don’t have any and I’m not taking yours.

I noticed the prophecy has fallen from 20c to 14c over the past day or two. I recall last league you could buy one for 5c so I figure if I wait long enough it will come way down in price.

Welp, it’s about that time of the league again. I’ve made a Maps tab in the guild stash and started putting in the lower level maps. Didn’t bother with tier 1, everyone will have those. Dropped in one of each map that I have for tiers 2-5, going left to right in the same alphabetical order as the map tab uses. There’s a whole lot of holes, of course, maps never drop in an even distribution! But feel free to take anything you need or fill in any holes you can.

Did my first red map today. Unfortunately it was a Core, which I hate, so I was pretty proud of myself to only die once. The animated weapons are just fine in terms of damage but I find it’s harder to play defensively than what I’m used to with the skeleton/zombie builds. Resummoning one weapon at a time is tougher than dropping 5 skeletons at once, and I’m not a fan of the DPS hit you take from using something like Unleash. It’s no problem in map clearing but can be an issue against boss-level threats. Wish they had an Animated Weapon threshold jewel that let you summon several with one cast!

The Delirium changes have helped in the RIP category, haven’t died much in the fog since the last patch. Although I do still occasionally take a huge hit completely out of nowhere, which I’m guessing it one of those on-death explosions that are impossible to see in the fog (for me at least).

They said they would make the Dangerous mobs in the fog more visible but I haven’t noticed any change in that respect yet, what is it?
And an unrelated question: is delve solo only or can it be done by parties?

Yeah, if they made any changes to visibility, they haven’t helped me! If you look above at the patch notes that I linked, you’ll see a whole lot of mentions of reducing damage dealt by the mobs, but not visibility changes.

You can do it either way, but you have to get everyone into the same mine encampment. Far as I know, the only way is to have one person go to their mine encampment, then everyone else clicks the little blue button on that person’s portrait to teleport to the same instance. If everyone just clicks on the mine encampment in the map as usual, you all end up in individual instances.

Ah ok That explains it. I think they did mention it in some thread so perhaps they’ll implement this later, I sure hope so. And thanks for the information about delve, my son tried to join me but I guess we did it wrong. I’m going to get him to show me how it’s done :-)

I am working on the early maps but I am struggling to get enough white ones to progress. Even though I am arching my maps I’m just not getting much in the way of map drops, and the drops I do get are often duplicates. So thanks for dumping some maps in the guild stash!

I though general concenses was transmute whites, save alchs for mid-tier maps?

This is true. But if you a) have plenty of currency and b) are confident that your build can handle 3+ map mods, then making those low level maps rare will improve your drop rates. Often (though not always) you’ll get at least an alch inside, returning your investment.

RNG was kind tonight, had a lvl 21, quality 23 Frost Blade drop, flipped it for 130C.

I have never used incubators before, any reason to not just slap them on gear and wait for the drop? Do they effect the item in any way? ie should I not apply one to my Quill Rain? I assume go ahead, just don’t waste them on gear you’re not likely to keep wearing? Is there any particualr incubators to keep an eye out for?

I pretty much skipped 3.9 as well, so Atlas is looking all greek at the moment!

On the plus side, Elemental Hit Ballista with Frostferno is performing super well, probably one of the more potent builds I have run and the clear speed is really nice.

That is awesome, congrats on that!

I was lucky and had an exalt drop a couple days ago. Still haven’t figured out what I wanna do with it.

Far as I know, that’s exactly what to do. Just pick a random item that you plan to wear for a while and hammer that incubator on there. Doesn’t change the item at all, and even works with corrupted items.

Seems I’ve reached that point in the league where I feel I’ve seen most of what the league has to offer and it’s starting to feel grindy to advance. Being stuck in white maps isn’t helping. And I feel the delirium mechanic (go as fast as you can and don’t stop to pick up stuff) is silly in that it makes me backtrack through the entire map after it wears off. My toon, a Herald of Purity Guardian, is fairly strong so lack of power isn’t the issue.

I’ve moved on to a second toon. The Animate Weapon build is fine, but I was getting bored with it. Decided to try Righteous Fire again, always enjoyed those builds in the past. I like Wrecker_of_Days’ builds so I picked his to follow…he always puts together stuff that’s very easy to play and explains things in enough detail that you can figure out upgrades if you’re willing to spend the time and currency.

I agree with that. I’ve largely stopped trying to get maximum rewards and instead just play normally, stopping to loot and such along the way. If that means I only get to tier 2 or 3 rewards in most Delirium encounters, so be it.

I do like Wrecker_of_Days’ builds because I am also too much of a doofus to worry about activating lots of other abilities and specialized flasks. Has he updated the build for 3.10 and the new cluster jewels? There must be some sort of cluster jewels that would help, no? Some sort of additional fire damage or the like? Just spitballing here.

The one thing that I personally don’t like about RF builds is that you can’t play them for a while. But to be honest, leveling a character to 40 or 50 is pretty fast these days so that’s not too much of an issue.

That link I posted is to the 3.10 version, but I don’t think cluster jewels are included. I’m sure in the comment somewhere are some ideas, though.

Yeah, same here. I just used Holy Flame Totem and Fireball at first, swapped out fireball for Incinerate around Act 4, and I just took out Kitava Jr and am working through Act 6. Should be able to start using Righteous Fire in the near future. It’s been a little slow fighting bosses as the damage isn’t great early on, but man is this all-the-strenght-and-life-nodes build durable. Basically face-tanked Kitava, only moved to get out of that black goo. And even Delirium thus far hasn’t done any real damage to me. I’m sure that’ll change later, but it’s easy mode for now!

Can I get an invite to the guild? Character name is Ceylanka.

This is my first league playing from the start - I played years ago, but never really jumped in until towards the end of Metamorph. Still not sure what I’m doing, but it’s starting to come together.

This is how I feel in every league. :) Welcome to the guild! Please take stuff from the stash, we need help overcoming our hoarding instincts.

Thanks! I’ll try to contribute what I can.

Got my fire boy into Act 8 and started using Righteous Fire. All the mana issues he had while using Incinerate as the main damage source immediately went away. I went ahead and bought a 6-link chest piece too (30 chaos and it’s good enough it should last well into maps), so everything is just melting.

Edit: And Kitava Sr was maybe the easiest version of that fight I’ve had on any character. Mostly just stood there and threw fire in his face. Only had to move to avoid the black goo and attacks from the adds. This build isn’t super fast, the damage takes a while to add up, but the toughness more than makes up for it. Only death I can recall during the whole leveling process was one Delirium instakill, no idea what happened there.
