Do advisor stats matter? So do you have to levelup and equip them with stat raising items?

Yes and yes. Advisors that are not companions have special projects that you can do to raise their stats. IIRC there are tooltips that show how the advisor stats impact the result of projects.

That is quite bothersome. I guess on my next try I will have to be more serious about this whole kingdom game. Switch the difficulty to a proper high one.

shrugs
In my game, companion and kingdom stats increased faster than the DC for kingdom events/projects. So that after the first third of the game, I didn’t have any issues completing them. But I had turned the difficulty for kingdom events down to easy.

Edit: This is an example of “rich get richer”. If you manage to complete projects, your stats increase making it more likely that you’ll complete future projects.

Pretty much. Though the addition of the coins to give +5 per coin to checks helps a ton.

Which is why a lot of people say to put it on Easy.

I am not sure what I should be doing at this point. I have my kingdom now. I have done the cursed hill level 4, and a few minor quests, but for the most part I have explored everywhere except for pitax (I can’t get into it, I keep having to leave).

I am just clicking next day over and over or just wandering around the map waiting for something to happen. Is there something I need to do?

Since you switched the kingdom management to only take 1 day instead of 14, you are going to outpace the story content, which progresses at a set rate. You’ll just need to manually skip days now and then.

Despite not yet having my favorite classes (The spiritualist, the Investigator or the Occultist), I have decided to take another crack at this game. This time, with a bunch of mids, to give me access to Traits, and the Oracle I saw included the Call of the Wild Mod and Advanced Martial Arts mod, but I doubt I will use that at this time.

Anyway, I think my limping Angelkin Battle Oracle is just about what I need to get my game going.

I have a lore question if anyone knows:

When you kill tartuccio in the first chapter, a ghost resurrects him. Who is this ghost?

Damn it, I keep restarting the game! Okay, I am going to try one more build, and that’s what I am going to go with!

The BBEG

I have no idea what BBEG means.

Big bad evil guy. That guy you fight in every rpg

Hmm. Never finished the game. Bailed in the last area. I assumed it was nyrissa, but I guess not.

It’s The Lantern King. The true bad guy, who also does shit just for the lulz. You have no way of knowing it’s him at the time, though.

You know, that is who I suspected it was and yes, I was thinking he was doing for the LoL.

Grrr. I did the trolls quest before I met jubilost. Now he is gone. Is there any way to get him back, even with a mod or cheating? All the searches I found are just, load a previous save before the trolls quest, which I do not have.

I don’t believe so; he’s found while being accosted by “Tartuk” and his merry men. The game very much has a pick-your-path approach to story telling which can lead to never encountering various NPCs. You also need to locate Ekun during chapter 2/troll stuff if you want to have him aboard.

So, despite kick starting the game, I finally started my first real play through. And, I grab a couple of modes, including Turn based combat. I didn’t think I would use it, and would instead just stick to pause per turn, but damn if it doesn’t make a big difference.

I mean, I was a big believe in Real Time with pause. I loved the Original Icewind Dale, and enjoyed NWN 1 and 2. But damn if this mod makes a huge difference.

Anyway, only 3rd level, so it’s not like I even got to high level tactics and planning yet. So, I am sure at the higher levels, it will make an even bigger difference.

The game is full of trash fights so I hope you can switch is this mod to fast forward through killing all those spiders and wolves.
