I would like to get some Pathfinder mods, but I have tried making accounts on Nexus with two different browsers and a number of random user names and it always tells me the name is taken. Are the mods available anywhere else? Or any ideas what my problem is?

Could your issue with creating an account be that you have something blocked in your browser? Try going there in an incognito window and create an account and see what happens.

Loving turn based combat! One reason I’ve deflected off of Kingmaker around Act 3 in the past is a never got to a point where I understood the combat system and therefore how to build characters. But turned based not only makes combat more understandable it feels like a lot of abilities/spells (particularly AoE) can truly grow into their own. Really enjoying my Magnus run through right now but still early on.

Good suggestion but it didnt seem to work. I also tried using a new email address in case “username taken” really meant “email already used.”

edit: misread your last post, but have you tried resetting the password anyway using one of the emails it states is in use? I checked my nexus account and I use a username, though it has an email attached as well obviously.

I have also decided to give the game a second shot on TB and I’m really happy to have done so. Still early on, but just being able to read the dice roll logs in peace and analyse the combat situation is a huge help. I’ve also decided to leave the companions on auto-level up which is something that I usually never do in RPGs, and it’s been a huge load off my mind, not having to worry about them (other than gear of course). Once I get a little more experience with the ruleset and abilities I’ll likely restart the campaign and do it all manually, but for now it’s been very enjoyable.

I also really like how down to earth the writing is, despite the fantasy settings. It feels like various characters have much better motivation/reasons for what they’re doing than is typical for this genre.

I’ve played Pillars of Eternity 2 (finished) and Pathfinder: Kingmaker (to chapter 4 or so) and intend to play both again in TB mode. I’ve had PoE2 at the top of my backlog for ever and just haven’t gotten around to playing it with so much else I’ve wanted to play.

Now that Pathfinder has TB mode baked in should this move ahead of PoE2 in TB mode? Recommendations? Thanks

It’s a close call, I would go with Kingmaker for 2 reasons:

  1. I’m a sucker for old school DnD.
  2. The Kingmaker rule set was designed and balanced for TB, real time was forced in to attract a larger audience so TB is True Kingmaker where as Pillars 2 was designed for real time (the Pillars 2 TB mode makes some skills useless and it decreases the game’s difficulty).

Honestly, Kingmaker is still ironing out bugs for TB right now.

So I’d go with Pillars if you’re planning to do it immediately.

It’s not the password it claims is in use but the username, even when these are random combinations of letters.

Does anyone know how to prevent the side action bar from popping up whenever no one in the group is selected? Seems to happen often after conversations too. The button to hide it doesn’t work, it’s only responsive if I have a party member selected.

Another issue that I have is that finishing the round in TB mode fails if a character is feared or otherwise incapacitated, the AI seems to hang. Any solution for this, other than switching to real time and letting time pass?

OK, I guess I’ll have to see how long before I jump in. I do have more of an affinity for DnD. If it’s a while before I jump in I’ll probably go Kingmaker, but if it is soon, Pillars. Thanks for the input.

Ahhh. That’s…strange. Can you download and try a different browser if you haven’t already done so? Cuz I got nothing otherwise.

This is a known bug - just switch to rtwp combat mode, and switch back again - That fixes it, until an official solution appears.

My next idea is to get my wife and kids to try and make accounts for me I’ll see if that works

@Piemax2. Hope it works. I installed a mod to bump my guys up from level 2 to 3. I’d hit a wall and never could grind up to 3 but couldn’t handle any of the main story encounters at level 2. But I also somehow totally missed a major area until I read about it in a walkthru.

I restarted with the turn based mode and pretty much hit tat same area without even trying right after I left my prologue thingy. No idea how I never found it in my earlier playthru but hit it less than an hour into my newest. TB is making a huge difference. I did have to switch to real-time once when a guy got feared and I could skip or do anything with him. So I went RT and let him do his thing while my other characters finished off the baddies. Whoohoo

oh, and this is from the patch today as well

Sometimes the side panel could stop responding and wouldn’t hide. Resolution: fixed.

If you’re using Gmail, you can add periods and/or a + and then anything and it’ll still come you your same inbox.

All will come to piemax at gmail.

Oh nice, new patch claims to fix the two biggest issues I have been experiencing -

  • The smart cursor failed to suggest making a full attack automatically after a 5-ft. step even when it was possible. Resolution: fixed.
  • Frightened characters couldn’t take actions in their turn in turn-based mode. Resolution: fixed.
