Hmm, my Daeren has the Heal spell and was by far a better healer than Sosiel, so much so that I respecced Sosiel to be the, uh, battle priest class. Daeren also, through Act 5 at least, has a better quest/banter/romance*. Totally agree with you his alignment, he’s super chill with basically anything I do as a Demon Lord, but leans much heavier into chaotic than neutral. Sosiel’s quest kind of fell with a thud in Act 4. With an admittedly cool reward if you do everything right, but not necessarily a useful reward.
**Romance - While corrupting Sosiel was a goal of mine as a Demon - the player in me didn’t love that I basically had to assault Sosiel into committing to loving me towards the end there. Felt a bit icky. Then I turned around and broke up with him when I was finally forced with the option to “commit” to one of my many love interests. I decided Daeren was much more interesting and we still had to complete his main quest anyways. Not sure if romance effects it or not. I thiiink Sosiel’s quest concludes in Act 4? Disappointed I couldn’t see where Camellia’s certain brand of insanity was going, but that was beginning to feel icky too. Wenduag dropped me in Act 4 at some point, but that looked like it was going to turn south fast. In fact…I think Daeren’s romance is by far the least problematic of the options I listed - which is hilarious in hindsight.
