I have now officially finished the game.
All I can say, was that the final act was, at best, utter bullshit.
I just got sick of it and cranked the difficulty way down and mostly walked through it.
Seriously though, who thought those final encounters were anywhere in the realm of reasonable?

I made it back up to Act 4 with my re-roll but I have a bunch of other games coming out that are demanding time so… maybe it’s not so bad if I just leave it there. :)
Is finishing really that important? So much of the appeal of these Pathfinder games has been experimenting with builds anyway. Hopefully they’ll add a rogue-like dungeon thing like Pathfinder got. That was great for experimenting.
Hey guyz, what do I win? Besides a reload.

You win 4 more rounds of being stunlocked (okay, I think they fixed that, but they’re still super fun!).
Nope, not to me. I so rarely finish games that sometimes when I’m close I like to see them through but if Act 5 is as described I think I’m good passing. :)
If the story and gameplay loops remain fairly compelling, I like finishing a play through as much as theory crafting new builds (or ripping off ideas I read online).
The end-game cards at the end of Kingmaker went on forever. The game recapped virtually everything you did and how it affected the persons, places, or communities afterward. It was and remains the best RPG ending I’ve ever seen.
Wrath, eh, not so much. There were only like a dozen cards.

Yeah. Never found him, no clue either.
The overland map is sometimes maddening. Along with the often opaque quest instructions. I find myself for instance having no clue how to find some scouts “somewhere southwest of Drezen,” or remembering which of the several tile puzzle locations I have already done, and which I need to go to. And you can’t seem to find out whether a route exists to someplace before you try to go there, which is odd given that I assume there are plenty of maps laying around…
There should be (heck there might be, I dunno) an achievement for clearing the Grey Garrison without having to defend the tavern.
Hah, turns out you’ll get called back eventually. I’d always run into the event while sleeping, thought that was the trigger.
Yeah, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, some pesky messenger will find you and make you do your duty for Gods, Queen, and Country.
Still on the fence with my Psychokineticist. Didn’t realize their wisdom bonus caps their burn, so at 18 it’s at a max of 4. Which obviously limits the dmg output of the build relative to other kineticist builds.
That said, my party has just torn through the Gray Garrison so much easier than my Donn Quixote party did. Love this game, even though it still crashes from time to time.

You are crashing? I havent played beyond chapter three, but no crashes for me up and till then - this is with around 80 hours or so.
I am not saying this to be “that guy”, but just saying that something may be bugging your game - a mod, or maybe validate files or something?
My PC crashes with Unity engine games, though I’ve improved the situation a bit by slowing down my GPU’s clock speed. That fixed the hard locks that required a system reboot, but I still get a executable crash window that dumps the game to the desktop every few hours.

oh - thats annoying! But still, testatment to what a great game this is, warts and all :-)
Started yet another new build, a Bloodrider Bloodrager, human, has a 20 STR, which means he’s not the brightest or wisest barbarian. He’s also neutral evil, though kind of the Diet Coke of evil (not attacking companions on sight). Went Power Attack and Cleave right away since he’s a 2-hander, glaives, and there are plenty of magical glaives in the early acts, and the damage output when he’s raging with that 20 STR is far superior to any of my other builds so far.
The downside is I thought Bloodragers cast spells right away and the Bloodrider got a mount right off the bat, but neither is true. The mount comes at lvl 5 and spells around lvl 7. My current goal is to hit lvl 4 before the inn attack is triggered, though I’d love to have greater cleave for those waves of enemies, especially with the glaive’s reach.
You get spells at level 4 as a Blood Rager.
Sadly, you won’t be able to ride your mount until Level 7 as a Human (and only if you take Boon Companion).
