You’re right @tomchick . I’d like to mark everything as read so nothing is bolded. After I go through threads I want to read, I like to mark everything as read.
There isn’t a Dismiss button on the Latest tab, just on the Unread tab.

Out of curiosity @wumpus yeserday, when I clicked the subforum box (the blue square that says games here), it brought up a drop down box with links to all subforums. Today it brings me back directly to the games subforum. Any reason for that change since last night? It was different, but I kinda liked it, and didn’t see any notes about that change.

If you are reading a thread, as it is now, that blue box and the Games at the title will bring you back to Games category. It should not drop down, IMO, because the drop down is at the hamburger menu (three bar) beside your avatar on the right.
However, when you are in the Games category listing all the threads about Games, clicking that will drop down.
I wonder if perhaps you have misremembered?

Can you screenshot and crop what you are referring to? I am not following. Use the hamburger menu at upper right that looks like three bars, e.g. two buns and meat.

I circled what I’m talking about. I’m pretty sure that yesterday I clicked on that and got other sub forums.
But it is entirely possible I was mistaken, and that was from within a subforum I could click on the title and get the drop down. No biggie, the ‘hamburger’ works just fine now that I know it :)

Took me a while to spot the ‘hamburger’ too, lol. As for the drop down menu - it will only show up if you’re on the thread list and not reading a particular thread. If you’re doing the latter then clicking Games will put you back on the thread list in Games category.
Is it possible to have the stickies collapsed or is the preview intentional?
You can unpin them, so they won’t appear in your list anymore. It’s an option at the bottom of the post.

Personally, I don’t mind. If it’s a regular poster, their avatar will be as meaningful as their name to me (I don’t know them personally anyway). If it’s a new poster or a lurker, I won’t know either.
But either way works. If Tom ever finds a way to switch to names, I’m sure it will make many happy.

PS: random tip for those new to Discourse. If you ever want to quote part of a post, select that part of the text on the screen using your mouse (or on your phone). An option to selectively quote will popup. It’s really nice.

I just wanted to say how impressed I am by Discourse. This is my first exposure to it and wow - what an improvement over vbulletin. Discourse really feels modern and sleek in comparison. Nice job QT3 :)

It looks like the Netflix Movies to Watch on 360 thread is missing everything after May 12th.
Using an iPad, is there a way to quickly go from reading a thread back to the thread list? At the moment I hit the Qt3 symbol and the hit Games and look for another thread.
Just swiping right (the iOS gesture for the back button) was working reliably for me.
Do you know what won’t miss? The downtime that would normally start in a minute. Always on my tea break when I wanted to catch up with threads. :)
