Hey @tomchick, it looks like the Donate link on the frontpage is still to the (presumably no longer desirable) Paypal. WIll you guys eventually replace that w/ something heading to the Patreon?

I hope PayPal is still an option. It’s the only reason I have an account anymore, to donate to various sites. I have no interest in picking up a Patreon account.

The PayPal link will stay up, but I do want to do something to make the Patreon more visible without being annoying to people who are already supporting it.

I recommend a McGriddle-style takeover of the entire front page’s theme.

Hey, @wumpus, now’s your chance to pitch SomethingAwful on switching too! ;)

So, do we have any numbers for the growth of our little community here? I spotted quite a few new names here since the switch.

We had an average of 3 signups per day since mid-August. Obviously not all of them are active posters, but quite a few are contributing.

Dare I ask the it was previously?

Well, registration was closed then. For the month of July we had 2 new accounts total.

Also keep in mind that non-anonymous commenters on the frontpage count as signups too.

@tomchick apologies for my ignorance but where can I find your completed monthly reviews such as Atiila Total War? I’ve looked on your patreon page but can’t find them.

I’ve just been posting them among everything else, but I should probably assemble them in one place. I’m still writing the Attila review, so the only Patreon requests I’ve done so far are a boardgame called Epic PvP and a movie called Murder Party from the guy who did Game Room. Attila will be #3 and then some British TV show that isn’t even about the end of the world but is called Catastrophe for some reason will be #4. But it was chosen by a guy who has really good taste in beer, so I’m expecting great things.

Unless he was, you know, drunk when making the recommendation!

I assure you I’m not [drunk], officer, honestly. I’ve only had a few ales.

I can’t believe Tom had 20 choices in March’s Patreon review, and instead of using a twenty sided die, he went to Random.org instead.

Yeah. @Telefrog must be devastated.

Sad! Tom can’t use a die! Very Bad man! Losing Tom and his fake numbers!

Now I want to nominate DCC RPG for the next Qt3 RPG Book Club season just to make everyone have to buy sets of really weird dice like d16s and d30s.

I will make sure to be more verbose next time, Tom. :)

And yet your diabolical plan would fail since we are playing online and (probably) not using physical dice.

Who needs excuses to buy dice? Weirdos? Commies? Aliens?
