Pet food also involved in peanut butter recall

That sucks. It will be funny if Americans show more outrage over their pets being at risk rather than themselves. I would imagine that animals would be able to tolerate salmonella better than humans though.

The true concern–obvious only to people who study these sorts of things–is that pets can transmit the salmonella in their food to their owners through saliva and feces.

Reptiles in particular do that, something the pet store people don’t tell you when they urge you to buy that cute turtle.

Must be your state. Buying a turtle in Florida feels like making an illegal drug deal. Not that I’ve ever done that, but you know. Only certain stores have them and they have to warn people about them.

My dog’s perspcription dogfood is expensive, but at least I never have to worry about this stuff.
