I got a medal for 1000 kills with breaker rockets
More people need to born, for me to kill them all. Womens!, boys!, go to work!, make more babies.

My new favorite trick when enemy fighters get behind my Liberator is to suddenly apply the airbrakes, causing them to ram into me; I take about 30% damage and get a collision kill on the fighter. It probably only works against crappy pilots, but that’s pretty much the majority of them.
As much as I absolutely hate being insta-killed by air as an infantry grunt that post did make me laugh. Congrats on the medal Teiman!
I’m going to slather myself in baseless supposition here and claim VS clearly attracts a more rounded collection of people who actually have lives, while NC is the last hiding place of scum and villainy, because I don’t think I’ve been able to step outside the VS warp on Amerish since Christmas Eve without some bugger in blue and yellow shooting my toes off.
I guess I’m a good pilot then because that’s the first thing I expect when I start laying into a Lib.
It’s been brutal as a VS on Matherson the past couple of days. We can’t seem to cordinate at all, and are simply free xp for TR and NC. I did finally get into a decent larger group doing base caps on Amerish late last night which yeilded several thousand xp and a handful of kills, but the 48 hours previous to that saw my K/D ratio drop from a respectable 0.80 to a horriffic 0.35. I literally died nearly 70 times to a paltry dozen or so kills over that period. I had multiple play sessions that went something like Drop in, killed instantly, then head shot by sniper, one shotted by air, one shotted by lightning, headshot by sniper from so fr away they don’t even register on screen, run over by my own side, headshot by sniper, insta-killed by air, lather, rinse repeat.
I’m not sure how so many guys that are BR 40-60 seem to be able to one-shot kill people with everything from sniper rifles, to reaver cannons to carbines, but it’s getting really annoying.

We have a pretty consistent farm going against The Crown on Indar. From the base to the south you can bring up a lightning and just rain it down on their various attempts to dislodge. AA kills are plentiful and if you have the stones you can lead us down the hill and start up their hill. Once they really get infantry pouring out it’s a free-fire zone.
The NC finally took the crown on christmas eve. I hope everybody got a chance to see what happened because they pushed completely back to the warp gate…except for the crown. We defended that place for 3 hours, totally surrounded, with no resources for air or armor.
So hopefully everybody remembers that next time there’s a push with somebody yelling in the command channel that all we need is 1 more drop on the crown and we have it!
So the NC pushed around the crown, taking everything back to our warpgate, then just let attrition do the rest? That’s pretty smart. I wonder about the game’s coding for hotspots, because I am fairly certain that The Crown did not light up as a hotspot for me at all over the past few nights of play.

I’ve been wondering about this. I’ve been playing my Vanu alt on Matherson a bit the past few days and was pretty surprised at the lack of successful advances… anywhere. It seems NC has been farming Vanu for several days straight at Allatum BioLab, is that normal? After having played NC up to BR20+ I feel their guns are pretty bullshit OP, but is that what the deal is or does Vanu on Matherson just lack the organization to take a heavily defended facility like that? I’ve yet to see it happen, but maybe I’ve just been logged in at the wrong times.
I believe that if the sides are evenly matched you don’t get the hotspot popup.
I started playing PS2 over the weekend and just found out there are three continents! And the other two are much more fun than the one I’d been playing! I was just about to give up on the game too.
Is there a way to make the minimap bigger, or perhaps render a smaller geographic area over the same overlay size? I can’t tell which buildings and icons are which when I’m running around an enemy base.
Also, is there an upgrade or some trick to making enemies show up on radar? I’ve spotted them and I can hear others spotting them, but radar visibility is a passing thing at best.

Esamir is great for getting into the game because the snow background makes it easy to pick out enemies. The minimap, alas, is stuck in one of two equally bad modes. You can use it to momentarily spot a general enemy direction, but that’s about it. The only way to improve that spotting would be with vehicle radar or the Infiltrator’s radar dart gun.
That’s definitely a minority opinion.

Perhaps, but they are :). I get twice the exp per hour and K/D as I do TR or Vanu. They’re ridiculous if you get a handle on how best to burst fire with them. Sniping with the default LMG is a cert machine as well! They’re great fun.

Hitting ‘H’ will make the minimap a little bigger, but it covers up other parts of the HUD, and you don’t really get much magnification. It’s sometimes useful if friendly squad markers are obscuring other icons.
Enemies show up radar in one of four ways:
- infantry show up when they make a lot of noise (usually shooting weapons without a suppressor)
- you or someone in your squad has called them out with the ‘q’ key
- enemy vehicles without the stealth upgrade will show up when they get close to you
- enemy vehicles show up for everybody if a nearby friendly vehicle has the scout radar upgrade
NC guns have crappy accuracy and excellent damage, so they have an edge at short range. Vanu guns are very accurate, so they excel at medium range. TR guns supposedly have higher rates of fire, and they also have that obnoxious machine-pistol that makes their infiltrators so irritating.

BTW, we’re taking the crown right now!
