What power scope do you use with the Eidolon?

I tried the scout rifles on the Infiltrator and it was actually pretty useful at short range if you got the drop on someone, three hits would take down a non-HA. I’m not sure if it’s really different from the Eidolon or not, but I only had it for the trial and couldn’t get the hang of actually sniping with it.
3.4x with the Red Dot, if I remember right (3.4x Holo?).
I LOL’d at those videos. I’ve been killed by BuzzCutPsycho quite a few times and never knew he was some semi-famous PS2 Youtube sensation. Hell, I bet “You killed xSLAINTEx” shows up in at least a couple those kill spree videos. =)
What the hell guns is he using too? He runs around pretty much instagibbing guys in those videos.
The lock-on group rocket thing is damned impressive. Now that I’ve seen that I suspect I may have been on the receiving end a couple of times since there were occasions that my Sunderer literally blew up out from under me going from full to zero health in an eyeblink. In fact it happened again last night just outside the Quartz Ridge barrier, and come to think of it shortly afterwards there was a huge TR push on that area including some coordinated infantry, max and armor rushes that pushed the VS back to Hvar. I bet it was Enclave.
I had a blast last night at Hvar. I was up top where the Phalanx turrets are. At one point I was in an AV turret and TR tanks and sundys were streaming down the hill from the nearby base litreally lining up like lambs for the slaughter. Groups of engys were speed repairing the turrets to keep the fire raining down. When I couldn’t get into a turret I either joined the repair squad or moved to the side and waited for the inevitable TR lone gunman to drop in from above and start murdering engineers. Those guys would be so focused on slaughtering unsuspecting folks that they were easy pickings for someone who was waiting for them to appear. At another point we had several AA MAXs and all the AA Phalanx guns destroying TR Gals and Libs that were trying to fly in and establish an LZ. It was the most fun I’ve had in a couple weeks.
That’s the irony of Planetside. I pretty much suck at FPS combat, and one on one I almost always lose in this game, so I should hate it. Yet when things like last night are happening I LOVE this game. I probably died at least as many times as I killed people last night, and yet it was a total blast because there was coordinated effort going on and I felt like I was contributing both in a support role and in the kills I did score. I don’t give a shit about my 0.33 K/D ratio, as long as I can be involved in massive battles like that.
Is there a counterpart to Enclave for the VS on Matherson? I need to get into an outfit with some coordination.

Azure Twilight. I was invited after I gunned for one of them in a Liberator, I’d be down with abandoning Qt3 (sorry!) and switching. We just don’t have enough activity.
I rolled with Azure Twilight for a while back in my Planetside 1 days. They’re good folks.

I left the QT3 outfit to join Azure Twilight. As fun as the QT3 group was we didn’t have the numbers to organize anything meaningful. The game is just a whole new level of fun when you’re constantly running huge, organized OPs.

All right then, see you this weekend. How do you get a proper in-game invite to the group?
No offense to the folks here, but I just applied to join Azure Twilight as well (thanks for the recommendation). Hell, I never even got a proper invite into the QT3 Outfit (if there is one) anyway, just have a bunch of you on my friends list.
To join I had to visit www.azuretwilight.org and register on the forums, then post a “request for access” in the proper forum and submit a request via the forum software for inclusion into the AZ forum group. Took me 5 whole minutes.
You then need to read the rules and regs (they’re simple and standard : Don’t be an ass, etc.) and install Teamspeak 3 and create a link to their TS server. In order to get invited to an AT squad in game you need to be on the TS server and in the lobby for new recruits. From there you’ll get contacted and invited to play in an AZ squad and the rest is up to you.
I’m looking forward to kicking ass in an organizaed fashion this evening! =)

Well, looks like I’m jumping over to [AT] as well then. Of course, the tricky part now is balancing my PS2 time between outfits on Genudine, Waterson, and Mattherson. (Despite this, I’ve somehow managed to log enough time to reach BR15 on all of them.)
What faction are you on Genudine?
That’s a lot of fooling around in Planetside 2. I sure hope that dissertation mentioned in your location info over there to the left is already finished mister! ;-)

I’m Vanu on all three servers; it cuts down on confusion about who to shoot at, and it’ll help if/when account-wide unlocks are implemented.
Yeah, blasting people with lasers is how I decompress after a long day of staring at my dissertation document. And of course, double XP over the holiday season helped too.
Ah cool. Well then I’ll be keeping my eye out for you on Genudine… through the 2x reflex sight on my AX-11!
Player guided rockets.
The return of the Phoenix!
I finished my dissertation (um, now about 20 years ago though) with bourbon and cigars. I no longer smoke anything and haven’t had bourbon in a decade but I do definitely remember the “joy” of some of those days slogging through that beast…
What a joke the Ultimate Empire Showdown turned out to be. Vanu dominated across all servers winning each of the three challenges on twice as many servers as the other empires. Even on Connery where the empire leaders were playing VS won two of three challenges. Then at the very end SOE flashes up the total all server tally board which is easily 70% purple and declare the clear winner as … Terran Republic.
Apparently what happened in game is meaningless. What happend via social networking voting polls is all that mattered when it came to decalring an overall winner. SOE looked really stupid showing results that didn’t match the declaration of “winner” at all, and all this while they were touting the guys from Major League Gaming there to add SOE titles to the fold. Well done SOE, well done.

The stream was down or glitching out whenever I happened to check it and I don’t even understand what happened. Did one faction win credits? Globally or on a server by server basis? Voting? What?
Though the idea of having events is awesome. A random time on the server where the faction that controls region X gets a credit boost or something? They should have stuff like that randomly through the day, all day.
If I may be so bold, I see a sentence from the opening page of your future book there, sir.
