To be honest many of the games i want to play now on console, like Paradox games, are on Gamepass, which makes it easier to get them. And Gamepass is also getting a lot of interesting indie games now.

So I would be perfectly happy with a digital version, but then you lose out on all the eventual $20 price deals from retailers. Which is how i picked up most of the games I still want to play but decided to wait and do so on the PS5 - hopefully with better load times. Specifically Spider-Man, God of War, Days Gone, and The Last of US 2.

The $400 discless is a lot more compelling option now that Best Buy’s dropped their GCU program that gave 20% off on everything… but there’ll still be those one or two collector’s editions that I’ll want plus more sales opportunities making the “full” PS5 the better choice.

The PS+ Collection has some heavy hitters. I hope they expand it with new offerings, keep first party games on there indefinitely, and give us some PS5 games sooner than later. No word on PS1-3 backwards compatibility which means it isn’t coming. Bummer.

Heh I was excited for Final Fantasy (after not being into the last one or the 7 remake at all) and for the Demon’s Souls remake. But I was always going to get a PS5 anyways for a bunch of reasons, it’s really just about how easy it is to get one anytime near launch.

… both of those looked really good, though, so I guess I’m more enthusiastic than I was this morning!

Credit Cards exist. If you qualify for the Xbox financing, you can probably just get a card.

By that logic, MS shouldn’t have offered financing. Clearly they feel that hooking people for two years to Gamepass is worth the headache. I’d have expected Sony to have come to the same conclusion with PS Plus.

I just realized PS5 is coming out while they’re still releasing DLC for Nioh 2. I wonder if that’s BC and I can immediately start playing it at a 21st century resolution.
