Just wanted to add to your response, that blog post mentions a 50$ price. Might be a pretty meaty game. There will also be Spiderman Remastered on PS5 with all the DLC included. Buying Miles “Ultimate” (extra 20$) comes with a code for that.

Launch games according to Playstaion Japan:

  • Demon’s Souls
  • Destruction All-Stars
  • Spider-Man: Miles Morales
  • Sackboy
  • Astro’s Playroom

There is no interest with the monthly plan. It actually saves money vs buying the Xbox and 2 years of Gamepass separately.

As I mentioned above, it’s only zero APR if your credit is good enough. I’m skeptical how common that offer will be in practice.

Wait…what the hell is that?!

Edit- Found some clarifications on the interwebs:

You’ll be able to experience the complete storyline up to this point, which includes the remaster of the original game and all three installments of the Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC so you can play the full narrative arc,” Insomniac said. “The remaster for the PS5 is no simple up-res, as many of the game’s art assets have been completely updated to take advantage of the PS5 console’s horsepower. You’ll see better-looking characters with improved skin, eyes, hair, and facial animation (including our new, next-generation Peter Parker).”

“You’ll also see ray-traced reflections and ambient shadows, improved lighting, more pedestrians and vehicles stretching further into the distance, and the same optional performance mode offered on Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, allowing you to finally play the game at a targeted 60fps frame rate. We’ll be supporting near-instant loading, 3D audio, and the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback. “Lastly we’re adding three amazing new Spider-Man suits, new photo mode features, and even new trophies for those of you looking to Platinum the game all over again.”

I guess considering I never played the DLC, but I really loved Spiderman it’s probably worth to dip for the fancy version.

The check is just there to screen out people with truly awful FICO scores. If you have even decent credit you’ll get approved. They aren’t trying to run some ‘Rent a Center’ thing.

It’s a real line of credit and there’s a reason they say the price “starts” at 25 or 35 a month, because depending on your credit score you will get a different interest rate.

Caught up on this, and am more intrigued than I expected to be. Demon’s Souls at launch is unexpected, and my kids will be all over Hogwarts Legacy.

It’s also a better deal than I was expecting. I had been thinking I’d be looking at the version with the disc drive so I could play the few PS4 games I have hard copies of like Bloodborne and God of War. But the digital version is looking surprisingly appealing, with $100 being a bigger price delta than expected, and with both of those games being available to download through the PS+ instant library thing.

Kind of surprised HZD wasn’t included in the PS+ thing.

Unless they plan on doing something extra/different with it before the sequel releases, that’s a bit of a head scratcher.

No it’s not. Go read it up. It’s either approved at zero percent or denied. Theres no interest. rate.

So about those direct preorders… anyone hear back after they signed up?

Thanks for doing the home work on that - guess I will stop hunting for a $20 copy of Spiderman now.

Looks like preorder is up for disc version at walmart

Yeah, $70’s gonna be a theme across both platforms this generation. See also Take-Two and such.

I thought this showcase wa a bit weaker than the previous one. It had mostly games we’ve seen before, and none of them looked a league above the current gen unlike let’s say HZD2. Which is down to many of the games also being still done for PS4 and Xbox One. It was also missing the quirky indie titles like Bugsnax. Kena and Little Devil Inside were among my favourite trailers last time. And given that Kena was originally supposed to be out this year (and has now been moved to Q1/2021), you’d have thought they may show more now.

Logo teasers like the new God of War just annoy me in general. It feels lazy and a bit desperate. Remember Nintendo announcing a new Metroid Prime a few years ago? Good times. And again, my money’s on the game not getting released next year despite what Sony’s saying right now.

That said, the Demon’s Souls remake being a launch title is actually a feat. Absolutely baffling that this info was not included in the showcase itself. I know a few people who had no plans to get a PS5 this year who now will be re-evaluating that stance because they either played and loved the OG PS3 game or only know the later Souls games and are super-curious about where everything started.

Oof, that $70 price point is going to sting extra in a world where Game Pass exists.

Bayonetta fans are on suicide watch.

I haven’t.

Seems like the cheaper digital one is in less supply as it’s selling out almost instantly as pre-orders go up. I had it disappear from my cart and go to sold out while I was on Target, disk version was still available but I’m not interested in that.
