One tip is to make sure you turn off any ad blocking you might have active. That was blocking my Target order from going through earlier.

Same, my order just went through as well and got an email confirmation. What a cluster fuck. In the end I had to switch from shipping to store pick up and then to a different store because I kept getting errors ranging from ‘no more shipping for preorders’ to ‘that store can’t accept any more orders’. Always something different.

So I am less than confident that Best Buy will actually have my console on launch, but for the moment they are saying they will.

Just got an order in for the digital version, shipped to me. Has all sorts of issues earlier when I tried it from the website, but tried on the app after you guys got it to go through, and it went through on the first try. Still not 100% sure I’ll keep the preorder, but at least this way I have time to think about it.

As predicted Amazon went on sale and sold out after the East Coast went mostly to bed, thanks Amazon. I did get the mail form Sony that I can try to buy from them this Friday, so that’s probably my last shot to get it this year.

My next purchase will likely be a series X. The first party on the MS side is likely to be even more lackluster at launch. But I don’t think all the 3rd party stuff will be enough to sway me toward: “I need to replace my One X now”. Same for my son’s PS4 Pro. I personally don’t think there is a rush to upgrade to either system.

I have a WiiU, a Switch Lite, a PS3, PS4 and Xbox One digital under my TV… and a PC, only 1 PC. Over the years consoles come and stay/go, but I never had more than 1 PC ever (of course updating, rebuilding it). I wonder which one has to go? If I get a PS5, I guess the PS4 is obsolete? But I would need the disk based PS5 for some of my PS4 games are on disc.

I thought Demon’s Souls would tip me to the PS5. Not sure anymore, it is just one game I want to own.

I think I wait for next year… I think I bought the PS4 2-3 years in the generation.

But yeah, I don’t feel the burning need for a PS5 yet, despite loving Demon’s Souls. I’ll get it a few years down the road. The PS4 is fine right now. Heck, it’s even getting Miles Morales and Forbidden West.
