Nah. I still want access to the Sony first party stuff and PS5 has a much stronger software launch and stuff in the nearer term. Xbox with this move and in combination with gamepass looks like it will be worth owning this generation eventually as opposed to the One which really was skippable, but it’s not something I need at launch. Ironically due to contracts you’re gonna see Bethesda games on PS5 before Series X|S for a year or so, after Deathloop and Ghostwire I don’t think anything is in the pipeline until 2022 or later. Doom Eternal just shipped, Arcane is on Deathloop, and Starfield feels like 2022 or later from how little we’ve seen of it. I guess maybe Machinegames could have something out late 2021.

Yeah I did. I rarely get junk/spam anymore, knock on wood. At least not on that account. I got nothing from them, so I registered and signed-up for no reason at all.

Yeah and we don’t even know what the criteria was. I have thousands of hours on Sony devices, have spent thousands of dollars on PSN and was in first wave on their net services over a decade ago. No invite for me so what metric did I miss or was it totally random?

I’m sure it was perfectly planned and there was no reason whatsoever for Sony to maybe inform people they won’t get an invite so maybe order somewhere else.

That’s fascinating. I remember running the Quill compressor for text adventures overnight to try and get everything into 48k, in the 80s :)
