I’m not a XBox Live Gold subscriber, and I rarely turn the console on at all in any event. Nonetheless, this PA Report article about political ads on XBox Live struck a chord with me. How far behind can it be to have this stuff actually in the games themselves? (Except the Political Machine, that one’s ok.)
Didn’t realize this when I put up the original post, but Penny Arcade’s comic today is related, too.
Hmm… I wonder if Burnout Paradise will have political billboards… and if it does, can I smash them?
Joys of in-game or in this case in-platform advertising. Anyone still thinks that in-game advertising is not a big deal?
Someone please produce a router with easy to manage DNS redirection already so we can blacklist everything and anything advertising-related on all consoles/devices on the network.
