The idea here is that the Chinese who pirated C&C Generals are offended that China is considered a terrorist haven and you can blow up Tiananmen Square.

What are they going to do, stop pirating the game?

Actually, the plot’s a bit off. The GLA seem to sneak into China more than are welcomed there.

Anyway, they’re sullying Tiananmen Square themselves. An event like that should have resulted in a nationwide revolt, not a meak retreat.
