That was his first taste of snow and he has not amused. Of course, in true puppy fashion, once we got a lot of snow on the ground, he loved it.
Haven’t been around much lately, so here’s an obligatory Chutney pupdate. Still radiant, still huge.
I swear that looks like a painting rather than a photo.
Thank You! We get an excellent “magic hour” through that window in the mornings :)
Merry Christmas from a pug named Stinky

Stinky looks like a Bad Santa.
Stinky or Billy Bob, who wore it better?

That’s a dog that knows how to keep her nose clean!
One of Bolt’s Christmas presents was this awesome storm that came through on Christmas Eve, took the power out for 9 hours, and stripped lots of old leaves from the trees. In other words, so many new toys everywhere! So happy.

Spike doesn’t like women. When my mother comes to visit he hides, usually in a window behind my monitors. But sometimes he hides in other places.
He’s not a bright boy.

So Christmas may have fixed my cat. Oh he still doesn’t hang out downstairs without me around but…
I got the guest bed some sheets and blankets and had just made the bed Christmas Eve morning and turned around and caught him on the bed.
Then my guest, my dad and his long term SO whose been around a longtime said he visited them early in the morning when I was sleeping. And they made the bed and here is more evidence of him visiting their room.
I will probably pick up some new blankest during the after Christmas sale for the bed because that’s just what I had even though it is quite soft!
Also he stuck around when i was cooking in the kitchen and watching Swiss Family Robinson while prepping the evening meal.

Shadow looked pretty relaxed then.
My toothy boi!
He’s in his holding pen at the moment, while I do some maintenance on his main pool. He’s partly pleased to see me, partly annoyed that no food has appeared yet, and partly wondering whether he can solve the latter using the former.
Hey Krok, you guys aren’t in any fire danger there, are you?
Thanks for thinking of us, but no, we’re a long way from that. In fact we’re a long way from anything. It’s mid wet season here, so rain everyday and monsoonal storms. We did have the driest dry season on record earlier this year though, and for a while we were cautious about fires. It’s going to be an increasing threat in the future.
Helpful map. The red areas show recent, current, and predicted near-future major bushfires. It’s a huge area. In reality there are fires all over Australia, because Australia gets a lot of fires in general normally (even up here, some areas get a lot less rain and are very dry right now), but those on the east coast in particular are unprecedented and there’s no end in sight.

Is Smaug a Freshwater Crocodile or the potentially-human-eating saltwater kind?
Smaug would say “Come and find out”. But he’s like that.
He’s the very-definitely-without-a-moment’s-hesitation-human-eating saltwater kind. But we love him anyway.
Things that make you go “mmm.”
@Nesrie
Cheers for Shadow :)

Dude. On one hand I want to say that I’m glad that you and your little pet aren’t threatened by fire. OTOH I am so very sorry for the people who lose their homes to fires. We occasionally get them here in Florida. Which, I guess, is the Australia of the USA. :)
Let’s talk bugs. Do you have toe biters there?

According to Wikipedia, the Saltwater Crocodile:
“The saltwater crocodile is a large and opportunistic hypercarnivorous apex predator. It ambushes most of its prey and then drowns or swallows it whole. It is capable of prevailing over almost any animal that enters its territory, including other apex predators such as sharks, varieties of freshwater and saltwater fish including pelagic species, invertebrates such as crustaceans, various reptiles, birds and mammals, including humans.”
“hypercarnivorous apex predator” - go Smaug :O.
