haha. Never had a cat that pushy at night, just one as kitten that liked to attack toes.

After much negotiation with the teenager, New Guy’s official name is (as far as the vet and microchip registration go) Simon Atkin. But his friends can know his full moniker: Simon Bubastis Bruce Lee Catkin.

Simon’s 6 months old, 8.7 pounds, and already as big as my adult cat Wally was in his latter years. Gonna be a big guy.

He is gorgeous, as is the other. I have such an urge to scritch behind those huge ears!

Matilda is very photogenic.

That she is! Those eyes are soul-staring.

Went today with a friend to pick up their new kitten after they had to put down the old cat (17 years old) several months ago.

Very adorable.

Ooommmmggghhhhhhhhggggg

Nice. Part Siamese, but I’m thinking not full-blood–the face isn’t pointy enough.

Does he/she have a name yet?

It’s a ragdoll, they named her Niki I think.

If it doesn’t work out for them, I’ll be happy to take her off their hands.

Ah, okay. I gather ragdolls are very popular these days. I just haven’t ever encountered one.

And then there were three…this is 8.5 week old Umbra, doing something she dearly loves.

OMMMGGGGGGaaaaawwsh

They have quickly figured out that flight simulators are a competitor for their attention time, and have teamed up to prevent this by blocking movement of my rudder pedals.

Awwwww, I want one!

She’s going to be a little handful. Her personality is very alpha - she chases down her 1.5 year old step sister like a freight train. She won’t stop coming back for more wrestling matches even when she gets quite decisively pinned to the ground over and over.

Thankfully, the step-sister in question (Skittle) is very energetic herself, and was not getting enough play-time from her older step-sister (Pita). Fingers crossed, these two (Skittle and Umbra) are going to be besties for life. The eldest, Pita, is perfectly happy snoozing her day away and having the odd playtime with me - no other cats allowed, thank you very much.

Man, that camera angle really makes it look like they’re simlar in size, but Skittle (the tabby) has definitely got a 4-5 X weight advantage.

Pita - actually tolerating the kitten’s presence.

Harry thinks he owns the bed, and he’s right…

He is checking new bed specification :D

Cats feel they own all the space. The problem is we let them think that. We have a dining room chair that stays over by the window for afternoon light, an ottoman that now lives under the living room window for bird watching and a towel that has to be folded just right on the bathroom counter for morning sun. We warn people: do no dry yourself with that towel - cat fur loves damp hands and faces.

Enough with the c*ts already!

Er, sorry about yelling.

Sometimes, when you’re confined to quarters, you just have to make the quarters fit you better.
