I suspect it is your dog pooping, and then blaming it on the cat. Dogs do that with farting a lot too.

Not ground hogs but raccoon poo can. You can usually tell the difference though based on what they’re eating. For example, cat poo isn’t going to be green. They’re not chowing down on vegetables.

I assume it’s a cat because the others often avoid areas with dogs. Some cats will torment dogs just for the hell of it, even the ones that would chase and try an get them. The cartoons aren’t kidding when they just prance along a fence. My family kitty from years ago would wait for a neighbor dog to stick his nose through a wire fence and just whack him. His owner would stand there and tell him not to stick his nose through there, but he did anyways and she got him, every time.

I knew lavender would keep cats away. Googling shows a number of plants that will make cats stay away.

Meanwhile, to get back on topic, Simon, Athena, and Gus are all getting along swimmingly:

Admit it! You just drugged them and then posed them! They aren’t even swimming!

That is one fine pile o’ cats

More seriously: is that a heated blanket or pillow or something?? I’ve always been reluctant to give one of those to the cats for fear of fire.

Is that a Commodore 64 all the way at the top?

Nope, it’s just a big square couch-type pillow I have in the Dreamatorium for them sit on. Though I did have a heated cat bed for my old cat Wally when he got really skinny towards the end, and it was safe and only got slightly warm. (And of course, being cats, Wally almost never used it, but my well-insulated 20-pound cat Loki loved squeezing into it.)

It’s a theC64. Emulates a Commodore 64 using an FPGA. Authentic keyboard and runs really well, but has HDMI, USB slots, and can load C64 games from USB memory devices.

That’s pretty awesome. The C64 was my first computer as a kid so I have a lot of nostalgia, although I don’t know if I could get much enjoyment playing those old games anymore. Would be fun to see them for a bit, though!

I can hardly believe you got all three of them to be so… content and happy together. That’s amazing.

I got a heated bed for my Sphynx, because, you know, he has no fur.

He doesn’t use it.

I have this product:

Which I actually got from Chewy. It barely heats at all but it’s at the window so he uses it to watch birds that are one weak screen away from death on a regular basis.

I know, right? Most of our multicat pics end up looking something like this:

Haha, mine are usually just indifferent to each other. I have pressure from friend and family to get a friend for Shadow, and I’m like there is a very good chance I could get another cat, and they don’t wind up being friends.

Three words. Red. Storm. Rising.

I’m not sure if I played that one! I remember Raid on Bungeling Bay, Pitfall, Impossible Mission, Spy vs. Spy, Blue Max, Elite, Temple of Apshai and… Empire, I think? I’m sure there’s more, but that’s off the top of my head. I was born in 1978 so I was very young when we had the device.

Sorry for the derail, this is the Post your Pet thread so let’s get back on track:

Pardon me sir, but have you heard about the good word of Star Fleet II and our Krellan overlords?

On advice from a friend, I picked up this cat condo from Amazon. Pretty sturdy, especially for the price of $70. I’ve had it for about 45 days, and it still looks fairly new. I expect it will last several years before my feline friends rip it to shreds:

Cat approved, can confirm:

The cats love it and were actually climbing all over it during assembly. They liked it so much they didn’t pay any attention to the cardboard box it came in, which is unusual for this group. Picture was taken about an hour after assembly: Buddy on top, Tripper in the basket, and Dumplin’ in the cubby.

I tell you it’s a Maine Coon thing. The Facebook Maine Group I’m in has scores of pictures of two, three, four, even five Maine Coons and one regular cat all posing together beautiful. When my girlfriend and i had five cats on we could generally take a picture of two together, beyond that it turned into a war and often would escalate to a literal pissing contest… Most MC come with a chill pill

I’ve never understood the breed thing, probably because most pets find my family not the other way around or it is the pound thing. If Maine Coon kitties get along, that just might make a believer out of me. I contemplate a second kitty all the time now because I worry he is missing a friend since he came into the house with my departed kitty but I am hesitant because getting a cat with a high maintenance need or one that just doesn’t get along with Shadow would be unfortunate… and I don’t do pets halfway. When they come into the house, they’re taken care of until my death, to the best of my ability, no matter what.
